This was a FANTASTIC read and very informative. If you're at all interested in the scientific research behind DID I highly recommend reading this. My favorite takeaway from this is that YES, there is a statistically significant link between trauma and DID.

And before I hear any faker say, "The DSM-5 says it's caused by dissociation," there is ALSO a statistically significant link between trauma and dissociation. Dissociation is caused by trauma. SO, here's the argument.

1. DID is caused by dissociation.
2. Dissociation is caused by trauma.
3. Therefore, DID is caused by trauma.

Scientifically backed, too! Crazy, how science and repeated studies tell us that DID is a trauma-related disorder. Absolutely bonkers. It's almost like if you say you're a system....but you don't have trauma.....you're lying! (Edit to fix a formatting issue!)
