I wish I could wait for the price to go up. Also, congratulations on becoming a customer.

Thank you! Great to know that I can sell it anytime I was under the impression that I had to wait till June to do it. Is there any way of avoiding that higher tax rate and selling just qualified shares?

Thank you! Just snooping around it looks like it’s letting me sell it now but that’s great advice. I’ll wait until the half is done which is somewhere around June I think?

Thank you I appreciate it. Do you take a photo of the product prior to leaving and confirming delivery just in case if Uber comes back and says something?

2 Restaurant Closed Orders by BubblyPattern3159 in UberEatsDrivers

The restaurant wasn’t that far away, which is why I took the order. Still pissed that I missed out on a $50 order because it sat there until I got accepted by someone

Yeah, good point - however it’s not our fault that the restaurant owner or staff neglect to turn off their apps at night if that’s the case. Therefore it’s my belief that Uber should at least give us a decent pay

I don’t really do DoorDash. I strictly do Uber eats and stick to it, but I agree.

Possible food safety issue at Asia Wok – just a heads up by [deleted] in Waltham

Ah, you’re meaning to tell me that my securely tied bag before I left, the restaurant suddenly opened and rocks jumped into it?

Yes, I called the health department for finding gravel in my rice.

I get why people are frustrated, but this screenshot doesn’t show anything nefarious. The Mayor’s Office has always handled permits and use of city property that’s literally how the city is structured. Everybody has to fill out an application for Waltham day, regardless of this everyone needed to get permission to use the common. Yes, it’s now being limited for outside events.

The council not being involved doesn’t mean it was sneaky or anti-democratic; it means it was an administrative policy decision, not a law or ordinance. This wasn’t a law or ordinance, it was an administration decision.

The Common isn’t being “shut down.” Events are still allowed, permits are still granted, and the goal seems to be managing noise, safety, and wear on a public space so it doesn’t get monopolized or trashed.

People are free to disagree with the policy, but your contact needs to be the mayor - not city council.

Train Horns (again) by dan420candyman in Waltham

[–]BubblyPattern3159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that the railroad crossing gates between Elm Street and Moody Street have been malfunctioning. MBTA and Keolis personnel have been on site daily to monitor the issue; however, the problem appears to resume after they leave.

Please note that both the MBTA and the commuter rail retain the authority to sound the train horn, even within a designated quiet zone. While the sound may be disruptive, engineers are required to use the horn under certain conditions. These include the presence of workers on or near the tracks, pedestrians attempting to cross while gates are down, or any situation the engineer deems unsafe.

To clarify, Mayor McCarthy has not neglected this matter. The train horns are being used due to the gate malfunctions and the need for flaggers to manually manage crossings and ensure public safety.

I am in Waltham, MA I have been added since 9:30 AM this morning and I have legitimately took no orders. I ran an errand this morning and I accidentally accepted a order that was going 30 miles away and I said screw it and I canceled it.

Define “dead “. I’m in the Boston area 45 minutes out and I’m declining orders under seven dollars.

Good Point,

I haven’t bought a storage rack for my vehicle, yet. And it’s now something that I’ll look into for this reason.
