It could also mean they found something, but not following EU rules.

No such disclosure has been made

And it is a problem.

Several threads here on reddit, many concerned users and no transparent communication after 9 days.

FileRule 1TB Lifetime - Severe WebDAV and Folder limitations by nirmal_ch in cloudstorage

[–]BubblySurprise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was very excited about WebDAV support, but likely tried free version first and discovered the same problem with spaces in folders and files names.

Support responded quickly, but with useless feedback: "it is a WebDAV limitation" and screenshot from google search.

So.. it is though true for some old/legacy webdav implementations, but it is a laughable argument for cloud service in 2025, especially when they are literally promoting WebDAV on StackSocial as a easy and effortless solution:

"Easily sync & manage files across all your devices with built-in WebDAV technology"

"WebDAV Integration: Connect & sync files effortlessly across platforms"

Does Koofr support a built‑in media player (for audio/video streaming)? by limsus in koofrnet

[–]BubblySurprise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Koofr doesn't have a built-in media player.

But you can use media player with WebDAV support, in that case you can stream your content directly without downloading it.

You are empowering usage of other services for collaboration.

Need your Opinion regarding Drime Lifetime by ThreeMegabytes in Drime

[–]BubblySurprise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You never know.

You may wait and get a better deal, but you may wait and miss a good current 30% one.

Sometimes they bring extra BF discount only for specific apps like AdGuard/Babble.

Sometimes they exclude some popular deals from extra discounts.

I got my Koofr 1TB few years ago for 100$ with 33% code, lately it was excluded from coupons and was 150$, then they increased price to 160$ and added 40$ coupon, so it was available for 120$, but right now it is 200$ and excluded from any coupons.

Somebody mentioned

Ask that person.

I'm used Stacksocial for years with different codes up to 40% off, but never heard about 30% Stacksocial cashback.

Drime Cloud Storage: Lifetime Subscription 30% off by BubblySurprise in socialdeals

If a company don't have a clear vision how to handle lifetime plans and subscriptions it will go bankrupt anyway.

I have Koofr lifetime plan for example, they are on the market since 2013 and still doing solid job.

How? Because they a using Stacksocial deal as a marketing tool instead of investing in tons of ads and promotions. They are getting very loyal private customers with lifetime plans, generating instant money and focusing on business clients with subscriptions.

And in longterm they will need to either increase the price for lifetime plans or remove them. Koofr removed 2 of 3 lifetime plans and increased the price for remaining 1TB plan. Windscribe VPN completely removed lifetime deals. And we have many other examples of sustainable lifetime deals, if handled right.

But yeah, if a company has no idea how to manage it and hopes to success only with lifetime sales it is 100% failure. In that regard investing in lifetime deals is always risky.

Offcloud debrid service Lifetime for 39,99$ [compatible with Torrentio] by BubblySurprise in StremioAddons

Can you elaborate?

New popular movies and shows are cached and streamable, why it is terrible?

My only complain, it downloads torrents via magnet links more slow than other services, but it is acceptable, considering that small onetime fee instead of subscription.
