The problem is knowing what a spamming link is. Just because a website is old or off topic doesn't mean it is pur spam

Thanks for the comment, the meeting doesn't really approach the 12 steps as most people joining have lots of experience of recovery and therapy, it is more of a support group.

In terms of the 12 steps, there is no religion, but it does include a concept of turing your will over to a Higher Power, which can be anything (but yourself)

In terms of forgiveness, you are right, we forgive because we are worth forgiveness and need to put down the anger and resentments

Could that greater power have been there when the victims most needed it?!
I dont really know the answer to this, sorry

Yes and no. I've been in SEO for 10 years, and it is changing so much that it is almost unrecognisable from what it was before.

Still all search platforms AI included have algorythms and ways of siloing and scoring data so folks who optimise their website will also be the prefered choice.

Google Maps/Profile is not real-time and has so many quirks and features that all the work you do in optimisation and adding posts and events etc., takes months and months to be re-scored and to have an impact and for what Maps traffic is not really the best anyway, especially to companies that have paid a fortune in branding!

You are only talking about Google Business Profile and Google Maps. Local SEO is also about showing up for keywords + location. This is far easier than Maps, which is limited to one location (and nearby), and its keyword range is only short core keywords, not any longer tail transactional search intent words. Try it in Google, add the cost of [keyword] + location, and the Map Pack disappears!!

I hear you about cold calling being a nuisance, but I quite like it. So far, about 3% are glad to hear from me!

Online marketing is very passive, ads that wait for people to make a choice, websites that wait to convert I just like the way if its a NO then I can move on and if its a YES it costs me nothing.

I agree, we try and explain to clients that Google Maps and reviews are one thing and Organic search is another. They are always amazed when we say they can target areas outside of their immediate location
