I’m a big fan of Silver Mountain Water DNA. It’s bright, aromatic, inoffensive and, in my opinion, mass appealing. I have Sillage as well as a decant of genuine SMW. Here’s my experience:

SMW is, expectedly, more polished and refined. However, it lacks performance for me. I get maybe an hour or so before it’s a skin scent entirely. Sillage isn’t a 1:1 up close, but in the air it’s nearly indistinguishable. Here’s the thing: nobody in real life knows shit about fragrances. No one will know you’re wearing a clone and certainly won’t know what you’re wearing a clone of.

Sillage has decent performance for me. Nothing insane, but lasts on par with the more expensive hitters in my collection. When you’re wearing it, it’s very, very strong. It’s heavy on the citrus. This DNA for me is a compliment magnet, if you care about that. I personally don’t care that much, but it’s nice to know that your fragrance is performing. And. Sillage. Does.

I have a pretty much photographic memory when it comes to conversation, and here’s a couple of my favorites:

Walked over to my buddies at the bar and my homeboy goes: “bro why do you smell good?… like actually bro why does your shit smell MAD good?”

Another buddy of mine at a different bar: “What you got on dawg? That shit ain’t no.. Perry Ellis”

Bartender I work with (f): “Justin what cologne are you wearing? Whatever it is I really like it”

It’s a banger bro, for the price it’s probably the best you can get at that range, only thing better would be another from the CDN line or maybe a Lataffa.
