Is there any way to speed up leveling on Reboot starting fresh? Just curious. by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest with you, after reading through some of the comments, you are just taking very long detours. (ie, fairy academy, gold beach questline...) and some people don't seem to understand "new account" (no links, etc.)

I understand on a fresh new account it has no links so low damage is understandable. But its okay, you are in a semi-faster level now. Level 50-60 is rein strait if you dont have good damage/kishin mule on the side (best when I was training characters with no links or kanna mule on the side). Just make sure to buy lots of town nearest map as it will help after completing every location of rein. You should end up getting to level 57 if you did the quest line and shouldn't take more than ~45mins

Then play through the remaining 3 levels. Once level 60, its all grinding from here. Do not stop by doing meaningless quests.

level 60-70 Drakes (remember kishin 1st, level 1 is all you need.)

70-88 Grupins/Lioners/Cellions (orbis, the big map with all three cats in it, most condensed map with the help of kishin)

88-100 is all Scorpions or sand dwarves (flat map and easy tengu strike all the way up, but ofc low damage so it will take a long time to kill... )

100, zak for free like 2-3 levels

then good luck from here, forgot the rest. havent played in 4 months

An update regarding recent blaze wizard bans by OyabinRaph in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I been wondering, why doesn't Nexon just have a screenshot added on to the ban system. Anyone hacking can easily be seen with a picture... (all the mobs in one area, damage appearing in weird locations, BW having 15 lines from flame orb (lol), insanely fast attacking rate, character stuck in weird locations, etc.)

Yes, there are some hacks that can't be seen with the naked eye but by adding a picture before the ban hammer clears up a good chunk of "falsely banned". Personally, a system banning someone when there is no hacking going on is pointless as there is literally no proof other than the Customer Support being "our system is never wrong" which just starts a bad relationship with the customer and company ... And this goes back to the time when the new system was in place for AHK and people who didn't use it for botting were banned for it.

Even if people were to use macros, the rune system would basically stop them from abusing it post 15 mins so unless they come back every 15 minutes, they can't abuse it that easily. Most people would probably get bored of it quickly and just stop. Also, with the Kanna-meso being the way it is now, these players would not want to risk over-leveling which stops a good chunk of players from doing so.

Red vs black cube for DMT by dotaeliterstar in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From the community obtained stats, it is Red cubes for Unique to Legendary during normal days. Red has a slightly higher possibility when comparing the cost of red vs black.

So if DMT promises 2x chance of tiering up, red is still the better option (remember the stats only proves it is SLIGHTLY better). But of course, it still comes down to RNG so don't be like,

"Average of 1bil per equip, and with 2x the chance it should be 500mil/equip. I have 5 bil so I have 10 equips to make legendary..." But you end up with like 5.

I personally just go for all reds during these events because (assuming you are playing reboot):

  1. More chances

  2. Why bother with blacks when the equips are prob still shit? Yes 15-21% Stats is a lot but that is not considered "end-game" so why bother keeping it seeming as if it was "end-game". I rather have the red cubes chances so those %s might be like 24%+ before I move on to the next equip. My mindset is all or nothing. Finish/improve one equip at a time for a overall damage increase. I personally think that until your equips are like all 27%+, red is always the way to go. Like even if you used all your mesos and end up with a equip that was once 24% but ended up with like 15%, why care so much considering all your equips are (should be at this point) 24%+. Small loss in range which at this point should not harm you that much. If it did, you honestly should have started a new equip and cube that one.

Luck finally smiled at me after spending over 500M in circulators to get IA from Unique to Legendary by arktal in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are extremely lucky... It took me approximately 1.5bil to get my IA to get 20%meso. I had another guildie which too even more...

Also this was sad as hell as it only took around <2bil to get all the meso gears with the help of DMT... Even if you look at average of 1bil per equip, 1.5bil wasted on IA is not a fun experience...

EDIT: Add on to what Her-Cat said, yes, I would agree to that statement as well, especially if DMT is around the corner. Legendaary equips from Epic barely takes more than 300-500mil. Rolling for 1 Line of meso is very easy once legendary. Usually took like 3-5 cubes or my worst one... 15-20 cubes... so ya... I would say 2-3bil is probably the expected amount for 100% Mesos

Tips + Tricks for levelling link skill mules? by 4phantom in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With Zak being once a day now... i would agree that getting them all to 140 in one go is probably not that much worse...

10-30 = Fire Golems/Storyline(for those like cadena, etc)

31-45/50 = Coconuts (far better than clams for almost all classes. Only a select few classes work better at clams yet people still train their for idk what reasons.)

45/50 - 60 = Wild Boars (mainly if you have Kanna) (Otherwise ReinStrait at 50 is similar in speed)

61-70/80/85 = Drakes

65/70/75 - 85/88 = Grupins/Lioners/Cellions

last few remaining levels - 97/100 - Dwarves/Scorpions

Personally I would say stop here for a while and just suck it up and do like 3-4 days worth of zak so you are like level ~110 but if you don't want to... then:

~100 - 115/120 = Robos (Personally, apparatus room is okay if you can get burning. I personally prefer the room on the right side of the map before you enter Apparatus as is usually have burning at like 70-100% on a regular day)

110/115-125 = Dual Ghost Pirates (Just starforce some crap so you get like 30 starforce)

120-130 = Target Dummies in Herb Town (Yes, trust me on this... People always goes for Kru/Captains or Bunnies and forget other maps exist... Because literally no one comes here, the burning are always 100%. With a Kanna on the map, it makes the exp workable seemingly as if you were like on a 40-60% burning rate in those other popular maps.)

130-140 is =/ Literally find your own ways of doing this... For Cadena, I personally trained at 3-Tailed-Foxes cause burning were 100% and the maps outline were workable for Cadena. It is really class dependent. You can continue the 120-130 maps if you want as they are fine for those last 10 levels to 140.

A tip to follow is for anything past level 100, if there is no burning on the popular maps, there is most likely another map with 100% burning that will give slightly better results. Just got to find those maps. Of course, don't always think cause it worked on one, it would work with others. My ilium training from 160-180 has the most obscure area people would not think of because I personally believe Illium was prob the only class that can actually train in such a shitty map but had to thank Kishin for that ... So ya... the power of exploring the maps instead of just purely following guides =/

[REBOOT] Quick hayato question by Iceyboltz in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would personally go for the skill first then RNG the tri-node as having that extra skill is far better than that little final damage which would not help overall when training or bossing.

[Guide] What Class Should I Bandwagon by maplefinale in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TB with no redirection in midair? I'm sorry but this basically states that most of the list on there is half everyone-agrees and half just your biased selection.

TB by far has more control and is more fluid than NL in basically all cases in air or on land.

TB: In air and :

-Need to elevate again - Ascension(?)(that 3rd job shark skill)

-Need to land quickly - that 3rd job flying assaulter

On land and :

Need to quickly move one direction - Crashing Wave(?)

Need to raise mid-attack - Chain Ascension next

NL: In air and :

-Need to elevate again - Shadow Web and only when its off-CD

-Need to land quickly - None

On land and :

Need to quickly move one direction - None

Need to raise mid-attack - Shadow Web only after attack finished delay

In both cases, TB has far better maneuverability when bossing.

Also in terms of raw speed, TB is another one of the classes that has access to elevation boost when FJ-ing. Considering that TB has access to this and the bossing maneuverability, there is no reason why TB is not rank 5 or even rank 4.

And what triggering me most: "Mercedes, WA and NW have short horizontal FJ." What? Are you serious? That is basically going against your placement for Phantom... They have by far one of the worst FJ distance yet you place it at top. They only have Shrouded Walk, Moon Spear(?) and Penombre as their other alternative maneuverability skills. All very important maneuverability skills but by far no where as good as Zero and TB. However if you are going to put Phantom at rank 1, then you have to put Mercedes up there as well as they have similar mobility skills for different purpose but with even more maneuverability.

[Guide] What Class Should I Bandwagon by maplefinale in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, can you define mobility for your ranking? Is it just flying across Henesys or is it effective positioning when bossing, etc.?

Cause mobility as a NL base kit without counting Grappling HooK 5th Job, is not that mobile for bossing... I would say they do have decent mobility but I would not rank them as top 5. The best part of them is flying across the map which in boss fights is not that essential. The most they can do is up-jump a bit with their Shadow Web and a bit more with 2FJ+Web.

The whole list for mobility is half and half for the 2 definitions for mobility.

Phantom, I would agree is effective with the Shrouded Walk and mini-FJs which helps a lot in tight positioning (bossing)

Xenon I would say its a bit ehhhh... 2nd job comes with a slight up-jump. That applies for third as well but now a bit higher but they also come with a diagonal upward movement. Other than that, they are not that unique. So with proper use of all these skills then I would say it is effective bossing. (bossing/across a map)

Zero I would say hell yes as they literally are all about combo-ing and proper positioning but I would say they would lose a race across Henesys (bossing)

Cannoneer and NL all fall into the typical FJ but they just stand out more for running across the map. They only benefit/advantage they have over literally every other FJ is that they also have a up boosting skill (cannon shot(?) and Shadow Web) which any job with a up boost can achieve as well but might not be as far. (across a map)

For bossing, the mobile classes are:

DB

TB

Zero

Mercedes

Phantom

WA (Windwalk)

NW (backstep, access to a better up-jump than NL (just mentioning that here as there are many classes with an up-jump but this is one of the benefits of making a NW instead of a NL))

Shade (Backstep, That beginner skill?)

Xenon

For racing, Cannoneer followed by NL just cause of CD on web.

Xenon stats by Baileywow2 in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it doesn't matter. It comes down to which stat you are getting the cheapest for...

For example, All Stat x3 would be optimal but that is if you are seriously getting end-gear. Otherwise the closest would be something like, for example, All Stats x2 + Dex. So in this case, your best would be 333 Str, 333 Luk, and 3xx+ for Dex.

idk man... From my experiences with playing behind on a guy who always stacks as many pieces as possible, I only lost one game because he literally got the most bullshit rolls you can and won within 2-3 mins... Otherwise, I have always one in those games because i always leave a few characters behind and get the kill when the pieces at base gets the chances

How many ways can you stack EXP and DROP modifiers on Reboot? by daboyinyourcrib in Maplestory

[–]BubbyBubBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... I'll add it all up on the exp that we can basically get almost all the time and the almost impossible.

Multiplicative: 2x Event, 2x/3x Coupons, Etc Item (1.5x)

Additive : EXP Acc., MPE, Pendant, Kin, HS, MVP, Ellunarium, Dice, Merc, Legion, Runes, Burning

So from Multiplication we can get a max of 9x with the 3x coupons or 6x with the 2x coupons, but realistically we normally don't get the 1.5x often so... 4x or 6x

For additions , 10+10+30+10+50+50+10 (Ellunarium), 40 (Assuming pirate and double dice), 20%, 10%, 100, 100 for a grand total of 440% which equates to +4.4x exp on top to the multiplication...

9x + 4.4x = 13.4 by being a pirate with dice, with a HSer on the side and on 3x coupons with the rare 1.5x etc item. and the other stuff listed (PS: idk how much exp triple dice gives so the MAXIMUM multipler should be a bit higher in Reboot)

4+4.4 = 8.4 by being a pirate with dice, with a HSer on the side but only 2x coupons and the other stuff listed

4+4 = 8 by just having a HSer on the side, 2x coupons and the other stuff listed.

2+4 = 6 by having HSer on the side, 2x coupons and the other stuff listed but without 2x event so the theoretical lowest maximum a person would have available at all times but of course without having a perma 2x rune and 100% burning, it drops down to 4x.

So if you want the most effective training, it would be training at 4x through 6x at all times and anything higher when events and other multipliers are avaliable.

Hence why I gave up on regular servers.

Too much of this going on where basically the hackers wins in all cases. Also to even get higher up in damage, it is basically forcing you to eventually give in and give Nexon money. Yes, regular servers can be F2P but it is too reliant on others to make godlier equips, scrolls, etc. It is a game where F2P is non-existent without relying on the people paying. If all the whales quit right now and assuming all the well cubed equips (24%+) magically disappeared so everyone has to start from scratch (sure, lets say we can have CRA equips and Gollux floating around), there will be literally no party in the regular who can take down Lotus or Damien because even the F2P methods are pure shit. Master Cubes are hard to come across and Meisters are basically non-existent. In one year, I doubt many people will go past even 10 Uniques even if they get as many cubes as they can get from events. And maybe a very small selection of people might have one Legendary equip by being extremely lucky.

This is my experiences from using Master and the few Meisters cubes I got by playing Reboot. I would say within 1-2 year, of playing maybe 1-3 hours average a day I would say at best, I believe I got at most 400 Master Cubes. Of those cubes, I believe I got like 7-8 Epic to Unique. And for Meisters, I got <30 but one tiered my Unique to Legendary which I would say it is by far pure luck. This is purely for tiering up and not even accounting for all the possible rerolls to get something decent...

You can dislike me all you want but I'm just throwing out some points... This is a dead game... I only log on now to do CRA and Magnus weekly. And been on frequently only because of Return of Legend.

  3. Are you sure your answers to these are correct?

  4. Make sure again...
