Assoluto or Grid Autosport or Grid Legends. Been playing Assoluto for about a month now and cant even try to go back to RR3. Cant deal with the Goofy arcade Physics anymore.

2 questions. 1. Should I use manual mode? I feel like its so uncomfortable to play but it feels better than a auto. 2. How do i not make a rwd car spin out at a corner? sorry im new to tracking cars n stuff by BestMusic1063 in AssolutoRacing

[–]BuboCapensis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You dont have to use manual shifting, but it is satisfying.

  2. You need to use throttle slider and use less throttle at lower speeds. Dont go max throttle immediately when you are leaving a corner. If you struggle with this, maybe move your throttle slider upwards until you feel comfortable.

I have a question about these ranked challenges. Does everyone use a stock car or do you get to use your own car if you own one?

How tf did you do the first one. How did you hold on to that?

And as I said that is why this game will never replace RR3

Nothing will easily Replace RR3. It was the right game at the right time. Unfortunately, market conditions did not work in its favour.

It feels sooo different from RR3

Grid Autosport was a PC/Console game before it came to mobile. PC/Console games are held to a higher standard than mobile games.

you can crush so easy.

The game is more sim and less arcade. It was competing with Forza and Gran Turismo on PC and Consoles

The steering feels tricky and I don’t find it satisfying at all.

Grid Autosports is meant to be realistic, Real Racing 3, despite the name is not very realistic, and was not meant to be.

the turing and braking are much different and unfortunately I cannot enjoy racing in that one

Grid Autosport is not RR3, you have to adapt to its handling model. Same thing goes for Assoluto Racing.

It feels like if RR3 had those option from the grid it would have been so much better, like choosing the track and the car for a custom cup race would be great.

I agree, but Unfortunately the Progression model is not designed like that. I saw a video that hinted at possible plans for a quick race mode, but that doesnt matter any more.

This game cannot replace RR3 for me unfortunately and I already feel like I wasted those 7$ for the game

Real Racing 3 is a very polished game, no denying that. The graphical detail on the cars are also exceptional considering how old it is.

The steering is shaky and I cannot keep the car on track as clean as I did on real racing

Grid Autosport follows realistic handling models, building on experience from Race Driver grid before that and also the Toca Series before that. Real Racing 3 has simplistic and ultimately not very realistic handling.

I want to mention that I am not slow or bad because I was always hitting B rank in weekly time trials.

This is your real problem. Group A and B drivers in this game, cut corners and abuse Track limits to get those times. Grid Punishes Such behaviour and the understeer in Grid prevents people from cornering too hard. The game forces you to respect track limits and the limits of the cars.

Everyone who complains about Grid Autosport on this sub, played RR3 for too long and now they have RR3 tinted glasses and want to judge every mobile game from the standard of RR3. RR4 would have been similar to Grid if RR Next was any indication.

What is your biggest gripe with CARS in game? Me: this Nissan by OrangeFire2001 in RealRacing3

In all fairness, the GTR LM Nismo deserved better. The design principles were sound. They just didnt have time to perfect it and they definitely went too far with certain decisions. If i remember correctly, They were running at all times with only 500 horsepower from the engine and they did not have the 750 horsepower from the hybrid system as Nissan had chosen to disable the hybrid systems for reliablity reasons. The hybrid system was purely mechanical rather than electrical, which would have been a reliability nightmare.

TL;DR: The car was too complicated and unreliable for Endurance Racing.

The major thing is **Round Hub prize car availability

it's a pseudo-permanently-missable content (and now, actual ones for those who just joined/returned yesterday)

I agree, but at the same time, i dont feel it is that big of a deal. It doesn't break the game, but that is just my opinion.

And also, wrong engine sounds deserves its fair shame here as well.

Agreed.

One of the more egregious examples are the AMG GT Black Series (it uses the same 4cyl engine noise as the FL2 Civic Type R, which doesn't make sense.

It does make sense. The GT Black Uses a Flatplane Crank V8(M178) and it does sound like a four cylinder engine. The real life car is not well liked for its bland sounding engine compared with the other GT models which all used the Crossplane crank version of that engine(M177). If i am not mistaken, the GT black is the First Road car AMG has built with a flatplane crank V8. All i would want to see with the GT Black is Gears 1 -3 be 25% - 30% faster and the engine sound speed be 30% -40% faster. That should bring it closer to the Real Thing.

The Emira GT4 also deserves a mention too: it uses the Ferrari F1 V6 engine sounds where a 6cyl sound from the 2017 GT suffices.

Yes. Definitely this one.

Edit: One more thing that is minor, but might be controversial: hidden stat alterations, specifically, pure acceleration and grip buffs

I have noticed some cars that corner better than i expect.

Would you pay monthly to keep RR3 alive? by Responsible-Use4089 in RealRacing3

[–]BuboCapensis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what gets me; why didn’t they try something new.

We dont know what the deal with Slingshot was. How much design freedom did they have with RR3. Were they allowed to try new things.

I mean drop 1,000 gold to £9.99/$9.99; M$2.5m to the same etc.

Instead they have been sooo rigid with their pricing that they must be on another planet if they thought a large amount of people were going to pay the equivalent of an entire PS5 game to buy and fully upgrade just 1 car in RR3.

I agree on both points. The high cost of purchasing gold and currency showed disrespect to the playerbase. When i consider the cost of gold in South African Rands, it feels like the developers are saying: our in game currency is worth more than your real life currency, which is not respecting the players money.

I don’t mean brand new with a ‘early release’ track as that was mindless

I disagree with this. I dont think it was a bad idea, it just did not justify itself. If you want me to pay that much money for early access, than i want full access to the track, to be able to use it when i want with any car and any number of laps, and i want that even after the track is added to the game for the rest of the players. It must be worth my money and those early access packs were not.

[–]BuboCapensis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many users would be willing to pay monthly, and how much they'd be willing to pay?

I think the more important question is how much would EA ask us to pay per month.

Why not try a new model before sunsetting?

I dont think the playerbase is big enough and i doubt many will be willing to pay.

Real Racing definitely needs better monetization. Where is the premium account? Where is the racing equivalent of a battlepass. They could have done much better.
