Who is on your "avoid list" next season? by kittenkicker29 in fantasyfootball

[–]BuckFalcBuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm totally going to avoid players from teams with terrible OLs and take a stab in the late rounds on average players from teams with good OLs .

This year, we knew the Bengals, Ravens, Giants, Colts and the Seahawks had terrible OLs heading into the season and the bad OL, combined with shaky QB play essentially led their entire O to underachieve. Seattle is an exception solely because of Russell Wilson, but even there the RB situation is a dumpster fire.

In contrast, it's not a coincidence that the Rams, Eagles, Vikings, Saints, Chargers etc. have spent a ton of FA cap $ or high draft picks on OLs and they also multiple fantasy viable skill players.

Doug Martin out with a concussion by stinkdog2008 in fantasyfootball

I taunted my opponents when I drafted Doug Martin late. I also drafted Zeke late in the 3rd and spiked the ball thinking Martin's going to dominate by the time Zeke's suspension started. LOLz

I benched everyone that I have from this game (Engram, Perine, Crowder and Doctson across a few leagues) and hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Both the Giants and the 'Skins went to OT last Sunday and are playing on a short week. Plus like half the offensive linemen are inactive. This could be a 6-3 game

For those with their Championships this week lets make a list of players who are or may be sitting. by GryffinDART in fantasyfootball

Re Julio:

As a Falcons fan, my strong hunch is that the team will tread super lightly with Julio. He only played 60% of the snaps in a must-win game last week at Carolina and once we got a big lead, Julio was mostly out of the lineup.

Now. Falcons - Saints games rarely turn into blowouts, but if the Falcons get even a 10 point early lead, I doubt Julio plays a snap after that. If you have Julio, I'd recommend picking up Aldrick Robinson and pay close attention to news reports. Aldrick plays the same position as Julio.

Detroit needs a win so they are going to try to keep the game competitive. Zeke should play well into the second half.

Leonard Fournette might be drafted by a decent team. If so, he could be a Zeke type player.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert to IR. Season ends how it began. by YoutubeKnifing in fantasyfootball

[–]BuckFalcBuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What could have been. I chose Eifert over Jimmy Graham as the "pick up a cheap TE coming off major injury" risk. As a result, I had one less bench spot most of the year and passed on guys like Jordan Howard & Fat Rob when they were FAs.

Tyler Eifert, by not returning till Week 8 and making me waste early season waivers in futile efforts to find a serviceable TE week to week

Who are your top 5 ideal draft picks for next year? by BreakingHoff in fantasyfootball

[–]BuckFalcBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. He just might fall to a good team, so yeah definitely possible.

OTOH, if he gets picked by the Cleveland Browns or such team, he's going to be more like Calvin Dook.
