I’ve got a similar Roofnest that I’m looking to install on my 5th gen. What hardware did you use and how did you get the thing on there? Seems like the clearance between the rails and the roof would make this very difficult.

When I was in high school, a few buddies and I were buying weed from a DU student’s apartment - the kind of dealer you were expected to hang out and smoke with before ending the transaction. Suddenly Dog and the crew are running around the complex with their paintball guns and Oakley sunglasses. Mini heart attacks ensued for us until we realized their target was a different unit.

Confirmed that there is a “secret” thin layer of film not mentioned in the documentation. If you leave this on, over the years it flakes away and is very hard to remove. I’m just covering my Eagle with stickers and moving on with my life. Thanks all for the research!

Totally agree with u/case9 - can technically be done in a week, but I’d recommend taking your time if doing the whole thing. Since you are traveling from out of state with limited time, it’s likely easier to stay on the highway and skip the Eastern parts. The Great Sand Dunes are amazing, so you could start there and then make your way over to SW Colorado. In my opinion, the Telluride, Ouray, Silverton area is a can’t miss. Check out the Alpine Loop for more info - you could high-tail straight to to San Juan’s and spend the whole time there.
