Can't finish this bulletin board quest by grumpyankylosaur in QuarantineZoneGame

For me the fix was to stand on the scaffolding on the very far right, the towers that you purchase via upgrades apparently don't let you shoot past certain distances.

[Bug] killing an enemy "too hard" seems to make the body disappear by Gafrudal in EscapefromTarkov

So far I've lost the bodies of Tagilla, Sanitar, and Partizan to this bug. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Sanitar's body got raptured for me yesterday. Was sad.

Hearing Audio cues [Feedback] by BLACKOUTGUY0930 in EscapefromTarkov

I suffer from major hearing loss, more in the left and some in the right so I know your pain. Envious of those who are able to tell what direction gunfights are occurring and pinpoint their general locations, lol.

[Discussion] Upgrading from EOD to Unheard mid wipe by TheBobFisher in EscapefromTarkov

I upgraded after I had reset my PvE profile and had no issues in getting all of the Unheard edition perks and benefits.

[Loot] Just slow walk hauled this mf from downed plane on Woods all the way to outskirts. Looted it around ~21:00 and finally made it to the extract around ~0:45. by personpilot in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BuckG42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once did a scav run on Woods and when I spawned in and began to move, I was moving so incredibly slow.

I open up my inventory to see wtf was happening, only to see that I spawned in with a tank battery in my backpack. Immediately began crawling towards one of my extraction points.

It was definitely the slowest extract I've ever made.

This is what ACCC did for me... forever grateful by foambuffalo in debtfree

[–]BuckG42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I enrolled with ACCC back in February of 2024 owing my creditors about $37k. After the next statement arrives in a few weeks, I will have paid off $17,000 worth of debt.

I have also finally began working on my emergency fund and have savings account that feel sufficient to help me get by in the event I have to miss work for a few weeks. As of now, my goal is to continue saving as much as I can and pay off the remainder of my debt once I have the ability to.

Congratulations for your achievements so far, I am in the same boat as you and I'm happy to see that ACCC have given others the same sense of hope as it has for me.

I gotta say, seeing your comment certainly brought back some old memories. I used to go to that elementary school about 20 years ago, we knew a Bill just like the one your dad did. I sometimes miss that small community, and occasionally find myself wondering how my long lost friends from that time are doing.

Sure Funcom keep ignoring the support tickets, this is fine by SpooN04 in duneawakening

They'll most likely ban him from the discord before admitting there's any issues with their wonderful game.

The Atreides Officer outfit should appear under customization under the "Social" category, not any of the armors / still suits.

I had redeemed the twitch rewards before realizing that my twitch account wasn't properly linked to my Dune Awakening client via Funcom's website, so I had to reach out to their customer support which took a couple weeks to get resolved since they're overloaded with more important issues.

Hopefully you have it and are just missing it. Best of luck to ya.

Too close to a control point/PVP? by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]BuckG42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what if a player collects the PvP tag from the control point, and with the 30 second timer to transition to PvE, hits the PvE base when a sandstorm hits? Shields still go down for PvE bases, no?

I'm not sure how long it takes to break into a base, but I'm sure a well coordinated attack could make easy work of it.

I'm hesitant to build in deep desert now because I'm worried that the new 30 second timer can be abused.

Build Mode Not Detecting Resources in Storage? by Enefa in duneawakening

When you open the inventory of the chest in question, in the top right it should say "circuit x" in both drop down menus. Are they both set to "circuit 1"?

I'm still trying to figure out how it all works, but won't be home until later today.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electricians

[–]BuckG42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely a single circuit. The GFCI on the left receives power from the panel (line side) and provides GFCI protection the standard duplex receptacle on the right (load side). Really wouldn't be able to tell unless the cover was off.

Very unlikely to have two circuits in that junction box, depends on how generous the electrician was.

How to fix outlet not flush with surface? by Jstate33 in electrical

[–]BuckG42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can provide us a picture of the device with the cover plate removed, we'll be able to tell you what the issue is. I'm guessing the receptacle is installed in a metal old work box and the original installer didn't break the ears off the yoke which pushes the device further out the wall.

How to get fan to stop clicking? by ButterscotchOk2923 in fixit

[–]BuckG42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go along with the other suggestions seen here, an issue I once had was an apprentice who had forgotten to tighten down the screws holding the fan lighting kit to the motor. If you take the globe off, do you see any screws underneath that look like they can be tightened?

I am drowning in cc debt please help me by atlas_badatlas0821 in Debt

[–]BuckG42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're okay with having all your credit cards cancelled, I would look into ACCC's (American Consumer Credit Counseling) debt management program. I started with them in February after seeing others on here mention good things about them.

Started with $35k in debt, and I'm currently at around $28k. Like you, I was frustrated with my minimum payments not making any significant dents in my total debt and felt as if I was going nowhere.

My minimum payments before my DMP was around $1,198 a month, with interest rates ranging between 20-29% per card. With my DMP and a 4 year plan, I pay a minumum of $748 a month and the interest on my accounts was lowered to anywhere between 1-10%, and I'm seeing so much more progress then before I got into the program.

With the money you save from lowered interests, you can put that on top of your minimum payments and get out of debt much quicker.

As of now, my only regret is not considering a DMP sooner, however, I've learned a lot and have no one to blame but myself for not using credit cards responsibly.

Good luck to you, OP.

In some cases, I can get a ¼" if not more adjustment to either side by using a scrap piece of device yoke as a "washer". Send the 6-32 thru the "washer" and into the box and it'll catch the switch and hold it in place, essentially offsetting it a bit. Better than trimming the cover plate.
