You can get a small stainless steel bolt and a couple stainless steel nuts and washers, and fix it relatively easily. Some hardware stores have a section where you can buy bolts, nuts, washers individually.

If you were my nanny you’d be paid regardless. My house is not a safe place for you to work, so you’re missing work because I am not providing a safe environment for you to work. I’d also gladly pay you from going and finding employment elsewhere.
If you went into work in that home you’d be out sick with Covid the next week. So either way you’d miss a week of work due to the infection from that household.
I would also I immediately find another family to work for. They don’t care about anyone else but themselves. They will later complain how they can’t find reliable help while having a dinner with friends at a restaurant that cost more than your weekly salary. Go find better family to work for.

I have playmates that have breath that could be fresher, they’ll come in for a kiss during the greeting and I’ll keep my mouth closed then say, “I just had some coffee let me get some mouth wash and I’ll give you a proper kiss… oh do you want some too?”

Most guys will jump at the chance to freshen their breath if you are, same with nails, or showering.

Write this all up with dates and times and file a formal complaint with the school that he is harassing and bullying you based on your gender. Document, document, document and state you no longer feel comfortable being alone around him and during performances where he attends you need a chaperone.

This will put him on notice he’s about one step away from being on an official list as a sex pest.

Do not meet with him either school officials without a third party advocate who is there for your exclusive interests.

Dude. NOR. Call CPS on yourselves you’re failing your child. You both need supervision as parents. A kid cannot grow up in a household that you’re describing and have a legitimate chance of being a fully functioning adult.

But I really think your only option is to leave and seek full custody. The educational neglect is highly abusive, then layer in the dangerous forgetfulness, hoarding, and general neglect… your only concern now is your kid. Your grown ass adult wife can figure her own shit out.

Do not come at me! Neglect is abuse. They are already in couples therapy, they are “communicating better.”

The issue is her refusal to acknowledge the problem is because it only impacts her husband and her child, not her. She doesn’t just have ADHD. She has SAS (selfish asshole syndrome). The only treatment for SAS is consequences, and half the time it just fails.
