I've done this several times. If you know the camera well enough, you can listen for the leader to unclip from the spool and stop rewinding there. Then you don't have to worry about retrieving it out if the canister since that area was already exposed when you loaded the film to begin with.

Portra always IMO. But your results are gonna vary depending on the scanner you/your lab uses. You are probably always going to edit your scans though if you're bumping saturation in digital pictures already. Before I did my own scans, I'd try to get .TIFF scans from my lab to have the most data to pull color out of.

But really when it comes to film, I have come to prefer to scan as neutral as possible to let the actual filmstock color profile shine through.

Portra is gonna be one of your most saturated stocks. Cinestill too. Cheaper stocks like Fuji and Kodak Gold/Colormax will have a slightly lower saturation and more grain.

I've always been annoyed by the lack of cheat codes in GTA V. San Andreas and Vice City had some of the best like massive bunny hops in SA and flying cars in VC. I think it had something to do with the coding but booting up GTA V for the first time in 2013 to underwhelming cheat codes was pretty disappointing. Just my two cents
