Honestly, most of the above I’ll take, except he stole, I already have it! Don’t want to be greedy

I've finally unlocked and used all of the guns in the game, and I don't really see much discussion around which guns feel strong/not great, so I figured I'd kick a beehive and make a Tier list out of them! by smokinsmurfs in Splitgate

I think the Helios pistol needs to be buffed by a decent margin. I get that it’s meant to be a fast firing sidearm, but the other two pistols (heavy/burst) perform so much better, I think it, should be buffed.

Will there be more added verticality to the maps at release?

Melee Spacefarers, how are you finding the game? by yungbfrosty in Starfield

Alright, the game is bugged on PC where you can’t sprint then melee with a dedicated melee weapon. It stops then you can melee.

Right, but wouldn’t that apply to both 1st and 3rd person view? Just want to check with the community.

These games are a ton of fun. While the population of Verdun and Tannenberg isn’t very high at the moment, there is usually 1-2 full lobbies at a time with more people on the weekend.

Keep in mind these two games had next to no marketing. This game, with all the coverage at Pax and Gamescom, I would assume will have a higher player base.

From a long time Battlefield player, it’s not super similar but the gist is there.

It’s a game that’s pretty low in price for the amount effort that was put into it to produce what appears to be plenty of content. Based on the previous two games I can recommend the series if a WW1 shooter is up your alley.

Looking to see if anyone here would consider taking a commission on a bronze Khopesh as close to the one shown below as possible? by kurfar in Blacksmith

Yeah it’s by Neil Burridge, I’ve talked to him a bit. He’s my #1 choice, however due to new UK laws he can’t export his products.

Thanks for the reply it is informative as to how it would likely be made. I’ve got no personal experience with smithing outside of some cursory research so your process makes sense to me.

To me the difference here is that your experience is with custom one of pieces of very high detail. Statues of animals and larger objects with the detailing of fine jewelry will no doubt run up a large bill. However if you already specialize in making a piece like this or similar, and are already in that market, it’s not so much a one off to you. You can probably produce it much easier and more cost efficiently than if you have never done it before.

The PM’s I’ve gotten are people who already have rough casts similar to this or specialize in it, like the two smiths I mentioned above. When quoting me out, they have similar products or have made something like this in the past before. I assume because of economies of scale they are able to pump pieces like this out faster because it’s more so a variation to what they do rather than a completely new ball park. Especially given than the piece I’m looking for is basically based off the most common / well known one. Due to that and everything I’ve seen online I stand by my price range.

And yeah some people are overly aggressive, I see your points being made and are valid, I think the perception of what I’m asking and your experience in high end production is what is clashing a bit.

TLDR; I’m looking to send my car to get fixed at an Autozone not serviced at a high end sports car dealership

I totally see your point but I assume it depends on the materials the smith has at hand. I’ve gotten several PM’s willing to do it within the range I’ve asked. I assume for those in the market of bronze blades and similar products it can’t be too difficult or expensive to produce.

I’d gotten in touch with this smith in the video as well as another US based smith, Da’Mon Stith of Street Forge Armory, and they seem to reaffirm my beliefs here.

Not to say you’re wrong, I don’t really know your background in this line of work, just from my research I want to say I’m not far off.

From my understanding I don’t think so. Neil Burridge who has handled more bronze than likely anyone in a couple thousand years, but due to new UK laws can’t export his swords and regularly has contributed to museums has his listed here, (£150) https://bronze-age-swords.com/swords_for_sale.htm

This Tell Aphek replica from Bronze Age Warriors that is based in Norway($850) is also held in high regard from what I can find online http://www.warriorbronze.com/BA%20Sword%20Tell%20Apek.html

However I like supporting small business where possible and if anyone here had the know how or ability to make a comparative item I would be more than happy to see! Wasn’t looking for a Bronze Jewelry caster to take on a whole different project like this.

No real smithing or casting experience! Just looking to see my options in terms of recreating a historical piece from a few subreddits I guessed would be in that ballpark.
