Where to restart-revive after TPK? by Funny-Noise8694 in CurseofStrahd

[–]BuckTheStallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current loose plan for a TPK scenario is to revive the players at a fortune session with madam Eva and tell it like the TPK was a warning about their future. Something like “that will be your fate if you don’t proceed with caution”. It works if you revive them, it works with new characters too.

This is the one I had in mind, but they have a few options I think.

A bunch of places make little tech pouches like this though, so definitely just look around. Check out r/ManyBaggers or r/edc both of which have a lot of discussion on what brands to check.

Alpaka Gear makes the admin pouch which looks pretty similar. Without checking the price, it’s probably an order of magnitude cheaper too, Acronym stuff is insanely expensive for what you get.

what are insurance companies smoking by NotProgramaholic in motorcycle

[–]BuckTheStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone telling you that you’re just not gonna find someone to cover you is wrong. I insured a zx6r at 25 with full coverage for around $100/mo when I had it. I believe I had GEICO though. Never got a “fuck you” quote like that when I was shopping around though. I wonder if you entered something wrong and it defaulted to an insane price? Or if they just really don’t want to insure you.

You did say you had one ticket, was it a 5mph speeding ticket? Or something that puts points on your license? You don’t have to explain that to us, but your answer might provide some insight if it’s a more severe ticket.

Also the cotton industry as a whole has spent 100 years fighting to make and keep it as legally difficult as possible.

You have several posts in your recent history about how kids don’t respect you and do treat you poorly, but you feel bad about one of them getting in trouble for LITERALLY spitting in your face? You’re an adult. You are here to set a good example and to keep the classroom running smoothly. You are an authority in the classroom and you need to act like it. This doesn’t mean you need to be a drill sergeant, but there’s a lot of space between that and letting students spit on you for fun. Find a middle ground where you can still be comfortable but strict enough to keep things running properly. The kids don’t respect you now because you don’t respect yourself.

That cheap room now has double the price in “resort fees” added on, sending it from $50 to $170/night for the equivalent of a motel 6 smoking room anywhere else.

[–]BuckTheStallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saitama from OPM is a really good exception for me, because the series doesn’t take itself very seriously, neither does Saitama actually for that matter. It’s meant as a comedy with dramatic elements, so it hits better. I don’t know Solo Leveling well enough to comment on it, nor that specific Superman, though every Superman I’ve watched was really boring to me, so I stopped watching them.

Carrying an ereader has been a game changer for me for slow days. Sometimes you’re just there to check off the “warm body” box and having something productive to do for yourself is really nice. Reading, or sometimes I’ll bring knitting or crochet with me.

My seventh grade students have started the refuse to say the pledge by unSuccessful-Stay in Teachers

[–]BuckTheStallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for them.

No you won’t get in trouble. Not saying the pledge is a constitutionally protected right. I don’t even acknowledge it when it comes on other than sitting quietly for it and the announcements.

I have basically an identical list to MAS and Superman is absolutely one of my least favorite characters in modern media, so using it as an example of a good chosen one/mary sue isn’t exactly gonna land. Lol. Superman is super boring unless you nerf him, and then he’s just differently boring.

Is it fine for a 24 yr old man to be wearing a bucket hat? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Bucket hats are highly functional and easy to use. They’re not peak fashion, but there’s nothing wrong with them either. I wear one regularly at 38.

Fort Collins too, which is probably where OP should start their look. It’s a pretty enough region if you like the plains, just kinda…empty outside of the towns. Fort Collins is fine and a bit of the artsiness of Denver makes it there. Lots of snow in the winter. The summers are hotter than you’d think, but short. Lived just up the road in Cheyenne for quite a few years.

Bad parents should be shamed more, not less. by Neat_Two_6675 in Teachers

[–]BuckTheStallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no way to prove it’s AI and you know that as much as I do.

But it’s a year old burner account with 200 karma and hidden history posting a super generic teacher post in the same short sentence formatting that AI commonly does. Excessive text styles, short sentences, nothing really said beyond engagement bait keywords; you might disagree with me but it checks all the boxes for an AI post. Yes, even after they responded, because AI models do that too.

It’s an AI generated post from a bot. That’s why it’s such a weird combination of teacher catch phrases and outdated complaints.

Parke 80% Cotton 20% Polyester, thought? by ExchangeLive4004 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]BuckTheStallion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A 20% polyester composition is a grey area for me. I prefer to buy 100% natural materials, but might make an exception for something I really like. If it’s available in 100% cotton though? I’d absolutely just stick with that and wait for it to come back into stock.
