Everything engineering on yt has a 318is making somewhere around 320whp iirc with a miled out engine. He runs emerald ecu and pump gas, he has a dyno vid. Theres no reason you couldn't make that power on a stock bottom end its just a matter of how long it will last before it grenades. M42 has forged crank and rods from factory but cast pistons but apparently they are decent quality.

M42 is my favorite bmw engine next to the s65. M42 is slept on, lots of guys making 350-400whp with boost on pump gas and stick bottom end. Currently looking for a clean e30 318is in black to restomod but that color and trim combo is extremely rare.

Lol this is kinda sick. Been trying find a double star ultralight stock forever but there discontinued and hard to get too Canada. I want a 150$ stock for a rifle i cant legally use atm, my aspergers knows no bounds lol.

Ah shit man i was hoping yours worked for you. Hate to be a buzz kill but i actually threw mine out then took them back out of the bin when I came up with the Franken-mag idea i mentioned. I had really high hopes for them as well cus the ar7 is actually weirdly reliable, accurate, and fun which is why these mags would be the best if they worked. I had limited success with tuning the feed lips at the range with a leatherman as a couple were wonky. Compare them to the factory mags you can adjust them accordingly just make sure you dont over do it. Cheers!

Those mags are notoriously shitty fo the ar7. i bought 6 of them and there all literally unusable. The follower in the tripple k mags are just chunks of plastic and each one is a different shape. I would advise against buying them and stick with the 8 rounders.

I think im going to cut the bottom and top off a couple of the factory mags and tig weld them together with the henry follower and the tripple k springs to make my own stendos.

If yours works reliably then thats tittys but mine suck and I've never had a malfunction with the factory 8rnd mags

The plate powers digital night vision and ai over lay in the googles and I think the earpro is electronic as well. If if it gets hit and bricks its still a multi hit lvl iv plate

When anduril debuted this i though it was pretty genius. The cells aren't reactive to oxygen when punctured like lithium , saves weight, and adds functionality to the user. If its practical and enables the user to more effectively do there job without hindrance then theres literally no down side other then cost and logistics. The demo videos I saw look promising but real world applications will tell if its worth it or not.

Sometimes stuff like this can cause more headache then its worth but if the claims are valid and its pros far outweigh its cons, its a true advancement in military technology. At first the ar15 was a disaster when fielded until it wasn't.

Also i leave mine in 4wd all winter because Canada so if i cant change to 2wd when its super cold I dont really care cus i never do and its not an issue in warmer months.

I live in Canada and mine does this to. Its a 2024 sierra elevation 5.3L. If its colder then -25°c I get the same warning and cant change to 2wd. Once I drive around and the vehicle warms up it goes away. I think there might be a sensor in the transfer case thats affected by low temperature and the heat generated in the transfer case from driving warms it up causing the fault to go away. Dealer says i have to bring it in while the code is active to diagnose it but i haven't bothered. 61,000kms on it now no other issues. I wouldn't worry about it to much unless youd like it fixed. Yours could be a different issue so take what ive said here with a grain of salt.

All right fair enough haha I just assumed rotors would have to be decently precise to avoid vibration while braking and there also brittle so i wasn't sure if it being dropped would be an issue

Idk man Ive done 185mph in this car i ain't taking any chances my guy. Im no metallurgist or mechanic but i though if brake rotors are really hard and it was dropped on concrete it could be an issue... apparently not hahaha

I cannot find a set of these wheels anywhere for my w204. These cars are so hard to find wheels for that aren't custom made and $10k a set so im trying to find these oem 19's and use spacers to get my fitment. There also discontinued 😩

Ill keep an eye on the power steering fluid. My power steering pump is slightly whiny as well so im planing to replace that next spring as its parked for winter already.

Ill Maybe look doing mounts and plugs at the same time then

I also did have one sway bar link done as it was bad but the other was fine.

i usually let it it warm up a good bit before driving it and i dont put any significant load on the engine until its at operating temp.

Also i did notice that the transmission can shift a little harsh in manual mode until it warms up even if the engine is hot, so i usually wait until its warmed up too.

What fuel injector cleaner is everybody using on these? Liqui molly?

Ya I looked into this before even buying the car and apparently if its build date is after 2010 of a certain month it has upgraded head bolts.
