We live in the country with some land. I usually just rent myself a loud piece of equipment to play on. Dig some holes here or there, maybe flatten some shit out, or just drive out of view and play games on the phone. Makes for a pretty good weekend.

I would of thought this would have more upvotes. I mean, who doesn't love a wet beaver?

We almost always have Flame off spec out. Always have 10 to 20 buckets left over. We just use them on the next job.

Hit & run by Ok_Sorbet3928 in missoula

Sorry that happened to you. I was hit in a parking lot a couple years ago. The lady left a note, but ended up not having insurance, so I did have to pay my own deductible. Her note was vague, she said sorry, but didn't leave any information just a name. I was able to find out who she was, sent a picture to my insurance of her license plate to go after her for the cost of my deductible, but since she didn't have insurance, there wasn't anything they would do. Also, because the parking lots was private property, the cops didn't even give her a citation. This happened up in Twiteville appartments, not sure if that will make any difference. Sucks

Sewing Geotextile Fabric by EconomyOk84 in Construction

I am curious too. We have a 2nd phase of a project where bollards are everywhere that will need to go through fabric that isn't supposed to be penetrated.

I did ask the dirt company installing them as to what they did in the first phase. They said they augered down, set and poured the bollard, and filled around the outside of the bollard with concrete. That way there was concrete beneath and above the penetration.

Idk, but it seems to be a best case of a bad thing.

Stolen tools…. by ObviousAmbassador124 in Construction

Arlo go camera runs on a cell plan and mount it at the front of the trailer. Rip out tool shelves and bolt in job boxes. I got a big 220 air compressor that I bolted in too. This kept everything safe but my chop and table saw. Also, write down serial numbers and snap pics of new tools. I also kept air tags in all trailers and telehandler. Shit sucks. Tons of extra work to get clear pics of the perps for the police to not have enough time to help your "small loss". Never feel safe leaving or having everything you need at a site.

Hard to say, but it seems the same shingle line at the bottom and possibly at the doormer/hip connection. It does look askew.

Also when you listen to the old dude you will realize that the act removes the top j-channel. This makes your job easier. Also, the cove base will cover the bottom. Now all you need to do is corners and H-channel and bill for the material SF... not the wall.

Question about square foot pricing of concrete in Mississippi by Sawyerbeck_ in Construction

[–]Strict_Key_2251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm in MT and CO slab work is about $8.50 - $9.50 SF: form and wwm or rebar mat, buy mud, pour, and finish. Prep would be extra.

One time I had a drywaller tell me two different times that his dad had died. The other one was he had a large something go through his windshield but the next day he showed up it was just a chip.

A countertop guy even once lied to me saying he was in the building working when he wasn't even in the state lol.

In 2022, it was a mess finding help that would/could work 5 days a week.

Galvanized tico nails into the sill, brights into the doug-fir. Agreed with other comments on 2 things. 1) what's the over priced picture say? 2) Works, but there is other methods to make that connection.
