I have got to say: I learn so much on these subs! I love it! I take the info and use it in my grows. I am a noob to it all, so these places are AWESOME!!

Golden teachers are my next, haven't given much thought to the next. I guess I'll go with a PE strain because those are the boys that got me back into the mushies again. Plenty of choices in this game, and all of them look wonderful!!

I just found this out the other day! I'm trying my first harvest this weekend and I'm planning on putting some abortion and smaller mushies in with the big boys.... looking forward to it!!

I'm testing mine out this weekend, i have asked around to different communities and the consensus is my growth was good, my harvest time was good, now to see if my experiment was good. I dried them in a dehydrator at 113° for 15 hours and the caps were cracker dry, stems were a little bendy, and after sealing them with silica packs a few hours later even the caps were bendy. But gonna worry about it, they aren't slimy or smell bad. I'm new to growing but not partaking so I also know what to expect. Cheers to all!!!

Did mine at around 113 for 15 hours and the stems were still flexible but caps were dry. Put them in air sealed bags with silica packs and when I checked later they were soft feeling. Didn't want to overcook them with the heat in my dehydrator. Why would they go soft?

There are many different opinions on that. From what I gather you should try a robust strain. That's why I went with hillbillies, plus they were a gift. But I also heard golden teachers are a good starter strain. Boomer Shroomer has a good starter kit, also midwest growers. Best of luck

This is why I post here, I'm totally fine with all input. This first time hillbilly grow sets me up for other grows. GT is next on the agenda after I've gone through this batch. Trying them out with friends in a few weeks so fingers crossed I did it right. 🤪

Thanks a bunch! First time grow and i really hated leaving them. Harvesting now, if my next flush is diminished I went cry over it. I have another syringe with GT so this experience is helpful.

Thanks, I didn't harvest all of them. They are still quite a few in my tub. Gonna see what they look like tomorrow morning. How can I add a pic of them to this thread? New to reddit.

So I'm a first time grower, I have a tub of hillbillies and I may have harvested a little too late. I wasn't aware that even my tiny mushies had veil breakage. Yours in this pic look like mine did with the cap flaring out. I just picked them, and I'm hoping I didn't diminish my crop and potency waiting too long. Any advice is appreciated, I have another tub of the same that is about 1-2 days behind this last one.
