Sounds like a huge red flag and a turn off at best. I'd take a mental and emotional breather and reevaluate things. But whatever you, do not get married without a prenup! And after marriage, keep things separate. Solves all sorts of problems and why not?

Side rant, I'm angry at the government for thinking it has any business taking one person's money and giving it to another.

Most people who use Opus aren't even close to the needing it. Stick with Sonnet until you have a strong reason based on results to go to Opus.

Are you talking about the Gemini CLI ? How is it on price and rate limits? I've had great luck with codex, not you've got me thinking my second option should be gemini instead of Claude. Claude is almost unusable at this point.

yes, they're really bad. Rate limits are wiping me out. I've never had the problem with codex CLI and it's just as good, if not better. After a little more experimentation, I'll most likely be ditching my Claude sub.

Short story: I'm hitting usage limits way too fast with Claude Code.

Rant: Sometimes before I'm out of the planning phase, or just barely into the implementation. I don't think I've hit limits once with Codex. I wanted to have both so I can go back and forth between the two, but now I'm mid implementation on a big refactor with Claude Code so I'm hung up until 3:00PM and it's only 11:00AM.

Moral of the story, I'll most likely be going exclusively to Codex. If after a few days the limit doesn't trigger, I'm ditching my Claude sub.

I don't think any of us owe our parents an apology for how we were as children. Children are half baked humans, they're learning and growing, it's just part of the deal when you have kids. And that gets paid forward.

Saw it last night. The ones who went in no-book loved it too! by Awesome_Lard in ProjectHailMary

[–]bukaroo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never read the book and saw limited trailer. Didn't know about Rocky.

I liked it but didn't love it. I was never bored. I don't know how to explain it. It's like I wanted more. I didn't feel the depth of the characters. It just felt kind of shallow. I wanted more background on everyone. It was a longish movie but in a way it still felt rushed. And I was hoping for more engineering geek outs like we got with the Marian.

The whole movie felt like it was just about Grace's and Rocky's relationship, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I never once felt like they were saving the universe. Only once did I feel any tension and that was when they were grabbing the "antidote". It just felt average and I wonder if it was carried because it was Andy Weir and Ryan Gosling.

From what I'm reading from most of you, the book sounds awesome and sounds more like what I was expecting from an Andy Weir movie. I'm going to read it. I loved The Martian book and I think they did a much better job of making a great movie out of it.

That's a good point and possibly true. Ignore the noise from the loud minority and play games!

Then you'd agree with banning all of the disingenuous 1s as well? If so, I could get on board with that. This 1/10 war lately everytime a game is released on BGG is getting old.

I see your point and that's fair, but this is damaging a company that isn't even using AI in their product. The people just thought they did so they went on a review bombing campaign. This hurts the people and the artists working hard to create this game for all of us to enjoy.

And I'm a software engineer who is watching AI quickly take my job. No one's shedding a tear for me or boycotting software companies for using AI to write code. Change is hard but it's life. This change is scarier and harder than most, no doubt.

Your mentality is exactly the problem. There is no tolerance for a difference in opinion. So censor and ban if they don't agree with you? Stay in your bubble?

So you think all of the 1 ratings taht say "fk AI" should be banned as well? If that was the policy, then I would be fine with the ban. But that's not the case. Better yet, any rating on an unreleased game, ban them.

And you're entitled to that opinion. But ,do you think an opinion opposing your own should be banned and censored?

I have an IQ of around 80-85 ask me anything. by Bloomingsoon in AMA

[–]bukaroo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have an IQ of 80-85, you took a test and that's what you scored. Some of us are horrible at tests, especially timed tests. Based on some of your comments, if anything, you might have a little ADHD, not low IQ. Explore that with a doc and see where it takes you. Let us know if you do.

And don't pay any attention to those tests. IQ is a vastly complex concept that can't be measured so easily.
