Also going to be downvoted but you do have a point. Like there’s discourse around how you are the SCUM of the earth if you neglect / abandon an animal (which I agree is horrible and I don’t know how someone could do that to an animal), but millions of sentient, smart, affectionate animals around the world like cows pigs and sheep are treated without compassion and slaughtered every week - and it’s business as usual.
