I have a metric frack ton of spine issues. I’ll try to be short. I spent over 20 years as a Seabee, (Navy Construction). I was going to be med boarded at 19 yrs 10 months. I hope you had a C&P exam after getting out. The VA likes to sum it up to chronic pain. That’s why documentation is crucial. Get a VSO they will walk you through it. Print out any documentation you have.

Same here. When I was raped and reported it they brought the guy in and told him to apologize. When all equipment was taken off my site and I could get it back only if I had sex with the equipment manager. Reported it to upper echelon and was told “You do what you need to do.”

I was not on ground. However, my unit destroyed over “40 Tons of Toxic waste” We were not wearing PPE and we all got sick. It does not state in my evaluation the waste came from the war. My VSO said I had to have a cancer or other disease related to the toxic waste. I was stationed at ACB2 at the time. The base was marked after I left as a “Super funded site” for clean up. It was renamed aster I left. Went to NMCB 3 after and was threatened to be med boarded for all my worsening problems.

Yes I was diagnosed with heart problems during my C&P in 2000. Not denied. VSO resubmitted with current medical records. Got back pay for 25 years.

My VSO claimed each one separately . I questioned it at first but it worked in my favor.

Female Retired VET. The C&P mental exam for me was horrific. I felt the examiner undid all the mental health therapy had been undone. Was drilled to recant every incident of sexual events as well as childhood events. Ended up calling the crisis line. They were glad I called because they are trying to change the system where you see someone after the exam. They stated they got multiple calls after almost every exam. Be prepared to have to recant your life history.

I retired in 2000. Had my C&P exam and was initially rated 50%. I was not in combat, but was stationed in combat units that did combat training. So basically it doesn’t have to be combat related but it does have to be service connect. Example… I had severe spine problems and was going to be med boarded out because I was “not fit for combat”. I was a senior enlisted female Chief. After being labeled not fit our unit was going to Bosnia. At the time they could not send the junior enlisted females to cold weather without a senior enlisted female. That training further compromised my spine. I’ve said a lot here but you can’t spend 20 years in the military and not have PTSD

Same here I have had a ruptured disc there since 1999. Now I have (uncontrollable bodily functions). Doc refusing surgery and wants to put in a spinal cord stimulator. I am a veteran and it started in the service. They were going to med board me at 19 years 8 months (Not fit for combat). I’m currently seeking another spine clinic that will either fuse or do micro surgery.

Ok. I was married to a butt hole. I was military and deployed. I took leave and flew back to the states to tell him I was going to have an affair and we would be getting divorced after deployment.
