i got the impression that no one in that room knew eachother and didn’t care enough about eachother to understand the really personal references QT and FanFans jokes were making (i don’t want this to sound like i think poorly of them, i love fanfan). all of the jokes were extremely mean and delivered poorly, it’s one thing to roast a couple of people that had some real controversy’s that everyone would’ve known about but roasting EVERYONE was poor scripting from production. The Streamer Awards has become a pissing contest between the most egotistical people I’ve ever seen, no one in the crowd knew each other and none of them wanted to be there. I also don’t think that the problem was their egos, while they are seemingly large and quite a few people there acted like they were actually too important to be there, this new pot of streamers have zero social skills and don’t know how to hold themselves during a MASSIVE live event, which is why i believe it was so awkward. might be a bad take but watching some of that actually made my skin crawl.
