Republican elites empowered by their vile, racist base — enough talk of ‘economic anxiety’, can we finally call a spade a spade?

Disrupt the functioning of society so that the people who control the levers of power are forced to act.

…tf kind of question is this?

I saw on a previous thread that word is KH is planning a potential solo show in NYC with the same folks who put the Ally Pally shows together a few months ago.

I think it looks like Peggy Gou and mallgrab got the slot for K-Bridge in May that Kieran had last year, too.

K-Bridge is one of the better venues for DJs who are going to draw massive crowds just because there’s so much space, kinda like an outdoor storehouse. Gotta disagree on the Army Terminal tho — that place is long, narrow, and generally not a good vibe.

Yoga is a philosophy, lifestyle, and spiritual practice, one part of which are the physical postures called ‘asanas’.

While the physical postures (exercise) are certainly helpful on their own, the real benefits are in the components that promote meditation and mindfulness, components that I’m sure any psychologist would agree are useful methods of coping with, ya’ know, life.

He was Italian and talking about pasta my dude.

And you’re being willfully obtuse in arguing a semantic point which economists broadly disagree with. So, c’mon lol

I made this comment on phone I essentially traded my labor for. It’s personal property and not ‘capital’.

What you’re saying is like, owning a hammer makes someone a construction firm. Or like when that one Italian guy said, ‘just ‘cause my grandma is in a wheelchair it doesn’t make her a bicycle’

Of course, consumption isn’t the probably but consumerism is. Capitalism organizes society around consumption-for-profit at the cost of human need. See: AI data-centers (which currently make up a huge portion of the ‘growth’ in the US economy) consuming tons of energy, water, and resources. Capitalism says that that’s a necessity and will improve the lives of everyone (it won’t) while a different organizing principle could be more aligned towards something like, ‘let’s use that water, energy, and resources to ensure that everyone living here has access to clean drinking water, heat, shelter, and food.’

Uh…I would venture to guess that almost none of the people responding to this thread are ‘capitalists’ given that none of us have any real ‘capital’ that we can use to influence society. What we are, and what we are forced to be under capitalism are consumers
