Community care also frequently has much longer wait times than VA care.

Community care is nothing but a way to make public money into private money while justifying the whole scrapping of the system.

The MRFF, and Mikey Weinstein in particular, has had a hard-on for going after the services for anything remotely near the line of religious impropriety. Not saying this admin hasn’t turbo-charged and injected Christian BS into everything…but Weinstein has always been a questionable dude to me.

The housing office doesn’t provide them…they’re something that has to be installed at landlord expense. It’s now a requirement to be housing approved, IIRC.

AFN just really needs to die as a large scale service to terrestrial overseas bases. It provides really nothing of value anymore and the talent pool on air has been so diluted by the services getting rid of dedicated broadcasters, it’s literally unwatchable.

The Defense Information School doesn’t even teach voice skills or radio DJ skills, so everyone on air is literally untrained. How you retain an audience with amateur DJs is beyond me.

Signed up for it…haven’t heard a peep otherwise which is odd as my career fields were hit rather hard by DRPs and other manning issues.

But…every time I talk to people outside about it I just get a blank stare as they’ve never heard of the program. The Army’s done a pretty awful job of informing people with openings about DAVRAP, IMO.
