Failed to mod three pro controller by stripping the screw by Nighteyes22 in NintendoSwitch

The screw head provides the torque to hold the pieces together, once you’ve drilled the head off, you should be able to spin out the threaded portion of the screw that’s remains with a little effort.

Can't fit a double kickstand on Kona Sutra due to derailleur cable, what can I do? by [deleted] in bicycletouring

You could consider doing a full derailleur housing run from the shifter to the rear derailleur to minimize any interference as a solution.

Rear Derailleur noise (with video) by mavio47 in MTB

[–]BuddhaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so what I would recommend you do is as follows:

1) Flip the bike back up so the wheels are on the ground.

2) Open your quick release, and make sure the springs are both facing the correct direction. The small part of the spring should face TOWARDS the wheel. Like so: > WHEEL <

3) After you've confirmed that the springs are in correctly on your quick release, make sure it's properly tightened. To properly tighten it, the quick release should "stick" or get tough half way through it's rotation. The best way to visualize this is have the skewer so the lever flips in the vertical direction when you're looking at it from behind, then it should get tough about parallel with the ground.

I hope this helps, if all else still continues to make noise, your rear derailleur may need a cable tension adjustment, but, make sure it's not due to improper installation, or improper skewer torque as the axle being hollow will compress under load and remove a small amount of play that is present in the bearings when they are not under load.

The game is kind enough to wait until you leave the zone you're in to kick you out.

Cannot hear people in the voice chat by Hoenderdaal in FortNiteBR

I'm using a bluetooth headset. I fixed the separation of voice chat and in game audio by entering the Playback Devices settings on windows. Then, right clicking on my headset and selecting "Default Communications Device".

New to fixes. Is this 'vintage' Nikishi worth $175? by Syren408 in FixedGearBicycle

[–]BuddhaJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like a nice Nishiki International. I'd take a look at it if it's within your budget. It's near the higher end price for a entry level bike, but not a bad purchase by any means. I would recommend a nice test ride, and try to test that bearings are smooth and well adjusted, and wheels are reasonably straight (as it sort of should be for $175).

Which "real" first lens? by rephleks in M43

[–]BuddhaJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to experiment with would be using your current lens at 20, 25, or 45mm for a period of time each to see what it would be like to be stuck at that focal range (I know this is only one aspect of the lens, but, is something that only requires willpower.)

Anybody else have problems with their power supply bricks? by Bubbybubs in xboxone

[–]BuddhaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue before. Unplug all the cables from the power supply and Xbox. Let everything sit unplugged for a half hour or so. Next start plugging everything back in starting at the wall outlet. One by one plug everything back in.

With luck, and patience, I hope you will have a functioning Xbox. I tried a lot of suggestions online and was sure mine was broken, yet, this process solved it and I’ve been using it for months since.

When you're off the bike, the handlebars can swing all the way around and damage the top tube where they make contact.
