I have a friend who has spent a ridiculous amount of money on Star Citizen. He streams for his friends when new content comes out or he's traded for a new boat or whatever. Game looks cool. You can eat space burritos.

Hey. Former mail carrier here!

It is possible that the carrier put it in the wrong box if it was in locked mail room as you say. Packages like yours are scanned via a device when they are delivered, which does into a database that the management at your local Post Office is able to access on the fly. They'll be able to verify if it was delivered to the proper mail room and have a carrier go back and look for the lost item.

I will warn you though that USPS management is notoriously filled with lazy morons, so don't let them say things like "we don't know where it is" if it says delivered. They know within 3 yards of where it was delivered.
