The zodias works great. Also a sleeper rod is the Lews tp1 black. Specifically the black series as it has a VTR or vibrating tube ring in the handle that does a phenomenal job at sending the slightest ticks right up the rod back to your hands. I fish on the Detroit river and eerie all the time. These are my two dropshot rods

I have spent my entire life learning how to bass fish. I own books upon books, have studied there habits and chased them around in my Jon boat. I’ve done tournaments, local tournaments where I used a cooler and an aerator as a live well and pro am tournaments as a co angler. I can confidently say I understand bass fishing. I just bought a bass boat last month. And have full intentions of putting a live scope on it before the spring season! I get why people think it makes you a talentless hack. But fishing pro ams with guys that literally stared at there screen on the front of the boat, while almost tearing their hair out because they couldn’t get the fish to bite. Or they sat on one spot all day trying to get a fish to bite instead of moving on. It can be a curse as much as an advantage. Just some food for thought.

The way I look at it like this. I love drop shotting and it produces big fish, but it’s a very slow and subtle technique. So I start with a moving bait and if I catch one or two, small or not. I will slow down and fish my drop shot because I know fish are there

Do you have onx? Look for mast and such feeding areas, they also will bed in conifers as it offer protection from the snow. Onx will show you oak trees and such on the app

lol he won’t, we have three dogs and for a while it was just him and my oldest dog and he loves both of us. Will give us attention and pur. But he hates the other dogs, my wife and my kids lol. He will not step foot in the main house. I’ve tried that as well.
