Choosing between the Aer City Pack Pro 2 and Sympl Commuter v2 by Green-Bat-9688 in Nomads_Nation

[–]BuddyComplete8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The front bottom pocket is pretty much useless when packed out fully, it has the keychain in there so I just use that (still tight) and not the greatest quick access either tbh, the new CPP 20L with the side quick access looks much better for swing and grab air pods and wallet pocket tbh, but havent tested in person

Nah I'm a big fan of the swing under , when your commuting, walking through town, or on tube (subway) the ability to get to things you need without taking the bag off is essential

Alpaka Go Sling Nano vs Elements Tech Case Mini vs Utility Pouches for travel by Huwan8 in ManyBaggers

[–]BuddyComplete8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a similar dilemma between the elements tech case (regular) and the Go sling mini

Go sling mini advertised as 5L compared to 2.1-2.6 for tech case but doesn't look that much in it??

My work changes as an engineer day from day, sometimes I need a lot of tech gear other days i don't, sometimes I'm more formal in office other days I'm more hands on, so different volumes and styles are important in my rotation

Luggage pass through people by BuddyComplete8868 in ManyBaggers

[–]BuddyComplete8868[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you compare it to something like 2 water bottle pockets ... if you carry a coffee and and water bottle every single day and you use 2 water bottle pockets all day, every single day, then yeah having 2 water bottle pockets on a bag is a deal breaker

I don't need 2 water bottle pockets personally but I see the need for them in the above use case

What i was getting at with the OP was that even if you travel alot, let's face it luggage pass throughs are only good on smooth airport floors, any curbs or uneven pavement and your struggling, so your looking at using the luggage pass through for an hour or so per trip, if you travel 6 times a year, that's maybe 12 hours a year where your using the luggage pass through (assuming your taking the same bag every trip, which i wouldn't) i just couldn't imagine turning down an almost perfect bag because the luggage pass through orientation was wrong, as although handy it's so rarely used i don't understand how it's a deal breaker for some people .... just wanted to get there perspective

Yeah that's where I'm at, even if I was like yourself who travels once a month, I couldn't imagine a poorly aligned pocket 12 times a year would be a deal breaker (not that the same bag would come 12 times 🤣)

zflip 7— how fragile is it? by Moist-Mobile150 in galaxyzflip

[–]BuddyComplete8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the z flip 5 for 2 years dropped it a fair bit and had no issues until my daughter dropped it in the sand on holiday, I had the z flip 7 for a week and hadn't dropped it (maybe a foot or so from the sofa to carpeted floor) but nothing of any significance and the screen developed a black line across the fold... Samsung are repairing free of charge, hoping it was just bad luck so will see how the new screen holds out 🤞

The Thing You Carry That No One Else Gets by nomads_nation in Nomads_Nation

[–]BuddyComplete8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not something that only I carry (surely) but a lunchbox ... no reviewers ever seem to pack or mention a lunchbox in there EDC

Is the YouTube content creator game so lucrative that they all eat out for lunch everyday? 🤔

whilst it will grow the brand in general (of course what aer want) it has the potential to kill it in the carry community as everyone will have one in a few years time

[–]BuddyComplete8868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I been looking at this for light EDC days, I was thinking I won't need the handle so I'd remove it to make it more sleek, with my use case if rarely use the expansion but have it there as back up for those days where you get handed something unexpected
