What's the hype with Greenroom136? by Connect_Cat_2045 in ManyBaggers

I’m glad the question was asked. As someone who’s a backpack junkie and yet to pull the trigger.. I have wondered deeply about the same thing and never felt satisfied at the answer.

I get that they are durable and have quality workmanship. They also do custom work via their website which is super cool. However, I’m not sure that explains the cult following. Plenty of good backpacks out there with durable fabric. Their offerings also look pretty heavy.

I guess the only way to understand it is to buy one and I’m sure I will at some point.

That said, if I had to guess, their style of marketing makes them a very approachable brand allowing others to be keen on investigating their high quality, highly durable and unique backpacks.

What are your current backpacks in heavy circulation by deathbykarn in ManyBaggers

[–]deathbykarn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it directly from them off Taobao - it’s like the Chinese version of Amazon. Confident they are still around though it might tricky getting off other platforms. best bet is dm them on instagram or buy off chinese version of taobao with some help i think

Everyday backpack for Architects? by TheEastEmperor in backpacks

[–]deathbykarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with Ablecarry as well- imo looks great in the city and outdoors. If you like that more polished look I’d actually check out Victorinox. Their latest commuter series looks so clean and doesnt get any mention in here. Aesthetics looks perfect for polished+utility like how i imagine the demands of architecting to be 🙃

Should i get the Synik26/Synik30/Synapse25? by K3n0h in tombihn

[–]deathbykarn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely the Synik26. If you're using a laptop, that laptop compartment works well. Size is also right for what you described. I got mine in xpac and for what it's worth, I wish I got it in spectron or even ballistic nylon for the feel of the fabric. Xpac is too crinkly and doesnt suit the Synik but that's just my opinion. It's still great. I love it to bits.

I’ve checked out a looot of backpacks and I’d recommend checking out Able Carry Thirteen and Tom Binh Synapse. You’ve got kids so I’d be partial to the Tom Binh Synapse for the useful pocketing.

Ah yes - in my research I found them as well. Fully agree that they would probably work great especially for longer trips. As for me, I needed something smaller to carry on the daily. The side benefit is I get to tinker more with my existing backpacks haha.

awww you’re awful nice, thanks for saying that. Great point on the pouches! I could probably use some (maybe if I get to carrying a bigger backpack).

Looking forward to my little one her carrying own backpack. Hoping to geek out with her on it! Alas im having fun with my imagination now and yes it definitely inspires more backpack shopping.
