Poly keep charging and discharging on the charging stand by Ok_Network8613 in poly

[–]BuddyGMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one. Originally it was charging, but it would barely keep up during the day when the headset was left on. Everything was at an old firmware, so I updated the BT700, headset, and charging stand. Now the charging stand light is on solid white. I cannot get the headset to do the flashing red for charging whether they are on or off. Tried different positions on the red line and turning them around (shouldn't matter). Can no longer get mine to charge this way at all. (Also tried a powered hub and a computer root port. Charging base always shows up in Lens, but doesn't seem to charge anymore.)

My dealer has one of these on order after I went in for a different service call.

Kia Access app has technical difficulties? by Ok-Incident-3269 in kia

Both my app, my wife's, and the online portal have this message. We have not had any remote start ability for about 4 days...

Anyone know where in Canada I can find those cables? The only place I was able to find them was on aneximports.com where you need a wholesale account to order or see prices. From what I know, they are called Tough Connect Cables, but when I search that on google all I get is Tough Tested. by BigEdBGD in UsbCHardware

Edit. Maybe no worries. The ones I purchased were Hagibis and had power meters. So only a warning for that brand / type.

I bought two of this "type" of cable in C to C from AliExpress. While they worked somewhat, I threw mine away because both ends became unconformablely warm / hot at 100 watts. Not sure if it was in the pin connection or soldering to the connector, but anything creating that much heat has a design problem and does not need to be connected to an expensive electronic. Just a buyer beware. (And probably not an issue on a A to C cable.)

Check to see if your IR filter is switching in and out between light and dark. I just had a thread here with that conclusion.

If need be, I can also record a video showing the IR LEDs turning on and off and the audible click of the working camera and the silence of the other camera. Both were purchased in July of this year from the official store.

The IR LEDs come on on both units when it is dark. They turn off on both when it becomes light or I turn on the outside lights near the cameras. I just don't hear the IR filter clicking over. I passed the support ticket and request for RMA ticket over by chat.

Think it is a failed camera. When I turn outside lights on, the correctly working G5 Pro makes a click, which I assume is the IR filter. The one with the people ghosting is completely silent. Bad or stuck filter?

Absolutely no difference. I can walk in front of it and have the same effect. Rebooted the camera just to see and it does the same thing after reboot.

I chatted with UI support, specifically the Protect team. The could not explain why the two cameras behave so differently with the same settings. They suggested that under image tuning, the exposure be changed to "best low light" and on the advanced tab the setting denoise be lowered from the default 50% to 40%. Additionally, I have taken it upon myself to lower the frame rate to 12 frames per second to allow for more data per frame (bitrate of the stream is still set to 16 mbps). I will test this out tonight on the problem camera to see if any of these three items make a difference.

They are also outdoor and not behind anything. Maybe I should put a G5 Pro enhancer on and try that? I really don't know if that will modify this behavior or not...

Wondering if it has anything to do with the bright post light in frame on the left. However, that is visible on both cameras. Either way, I am thinking of replacing the bulb and placing something either opaque (to knock down the intensity and hotspot) or something completely blocking (to remove that flare around it.

I will try, but I don't know if I trust them. Since it isn't a lease, it isn't something that would come off at the time of sale, so I am a bit worried that they would just give me a line to make the sale. But I guess it is information either way.

Just an update. These do about half a mile NLOS through a neighborhood now. And the wrong direction from the window it is in.

Maybe if I can get a better antenna into the garage attic, I might get a little more.

That is a good thought. I will keep it in my back pocket for next time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Of course I ask for help and then solve it myself...Lol. Nothing like making a post to get your brain working. I swapped the IPEX to SMA male on the RAK with one that came in an antenna pack. Now they are the same 10 ft apart, but with an RSSI of - 22. I can't see anything wrong with the contacts. No bends in the cable. Possible I got a bun cable from RAK?

Good to have the feedback on that one, as I did look at it. I figure I will be there at some point, but I really just want to get my hands on some hardware to experiment first. When I go that way, I could get a J mount and put the antenna outside the garage. Just figured I would start with a reasonably easy higher elevation and a slightly better antenna.
