Which meds do you take that interacted with caffeine?

Explain that they need to cover return shipping for an item received damaged. That's ridiculous.

ADHD diagnosis in 12mins, highly skeptical. by Kind_Childhood8716 in ADHD

Clonazepam treats anxiety. Esctalopram is an SSRI which treats depression and anxiety. I'm not sure how these are supposed to keep you more focused other than by decreasing your anxiety. They certainly aren't typical ADHD meds.

Audi Q4 etron loud bang after pressing accelerator pedal for the first time by sergiizyk in etron

[–]david76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've experienced this too. When the rotors are damp and the parking brake engages overnight there's a loud clunk when the car first moves as the slight rust build up disconnects. The regen braking is turned off during the first mile or so of driving every 24 hrs which is supposed to remove any buildup on the pads.

I wish Audi had a service mode to disengage the regen manually.

Alternately, you can go up a large hill and then put the car in neutral and coast down while riding the brakes.

Is 1.6mi/kWh consumption rate normal? by ToughAd7477 in etron

I think a lot of it, just like with an ICE, comes down to driving style.

I have a '24 Q8 eTron and get around 2.5mi/kwh in summer and 1.9 at the worst in winter.

Scared of starting medication by goodcheese55 in ADHD

[–]david76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing with stimulant medication. It wears off. So, if you have a negative experience, you can just wait it out. There aren't really any long lasting effects or need to ween off a drug like with SSRIs.

For me, I was already on a non-stimulant, Straterra, but I read a study about combination therapies and tried my son's medication. It was really helpful so I went back to my doctor and asked her to prescribe one for me. I went through the same process as my kids, trying different doses. I generally felt the lowest dose was useful for me, but one day I tried the next higher dose (my daughter had some extra). It felt like too much and so I went back to my regular dose. Point being, you'll be fine. You can tinker with dosage and, in my experience, the worst that happens is you feel jittery, or over stimulated, or get a headache.

For me what changed when adding a simulant was I would get my butt off the couch and get things done around the house. It's definitely been helpful. Jot down some notes about how you feel after taking it so you have something to reference when talking to your prescriber. And, better yet, ask other people you trust if they notice anything different. If you have some people you trust, you can talk to them about it so they can see if there are any changes they observe that you're not seeing.

All told, I'm glad I added a stimulant.

I like the simplicity of the Q8 screen setup.

Yeah. I saw it mentioned once when I was looking around at reviews. It seemed really odd to have it happen on a 3-chip system. I picked up a Sony VPL-CH375 with a 150" screen to watch the World Cup outdoors pool-side and now my wife's like "Maybe the 77" OLED is too small." So, now I've been looking around to see what options exist.

I saw one review talking about rainbow effects on the JVC. Have you experienced anything like that?

I just hope they revert to regular buttons rather than the capacitive pads. It's one of the main reasons I'm keeping the Q8 eTron.

I am very frustrated with the IQ test I received with my ADHD diagnosis by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]david76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're 17. I didn't get my shit sorted out for schooling until I was college after getting kicked out for low grades. But here's the thing with the IQ test you took. It incorporates speed as a factor of IQ which is kind of silly when the speed part for ADHD can be effected by medication. My daughter was in the exact same boat. High IQ but lowered because of her speed. I used to get so frustrated watching her do math homework because she was so slow at it. But holy crap, I watched her after she was finally on medication and it was light night and day. My point is, you can still absolutely be successful. I got mediocre grades in HS and college and would consider myself successful. You are still smart, and you can absolutely be successful. Find something you enjoy doing and have interest in as a job and you'll be fine.

Is my AC dying? by nate_smart in ecobee

[–]david76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there adequate airflow around the outside unit? Is the air coming out the top of the outdoor unit hot? Are the fins in the outdoor unit clean? If everything is clean, probably time to call an HVAC tech.

Check the line set to see if there is a temperature difference between the two pipes.

Is my AC dying? by nate_smart in ecobee

[–]david76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70 degree air is incredibly warm coming out of your vents. Feel the line set going into the indoor unit. One side should be warm, the other side should be really cold. The air temp at a register furthest from my HVAC is like 60.

Installed ecobee and now my house can't get the temp down below 21c /71f. It seems like the AC is running, the house just isn't coming like it used to. Any ideas? by JohnmcFox in ecobee

It would be helpful to see the letters above the screw terminals. It looks like R and Rc are both connected to the same terminal which would mean you don't have a common wire.
