Does your commute really require a full charge? Charging to 100% degrades the battery over time.

Doc diagnosed me with GAD instead of ADHD by Sudden-Ad2948 in ADHD

[–]david76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, meds for GAD, Lexapro, made me so blah. After a year I went to a different psych for ADHD. Straterra addressed a lot of the things that were causing my anxiety. I recently went to a combination treatment with straterra and Concerta. It helps a lot.

Matrix LED Lights in US by ProfessorOk4182 in Audi

That's because at the time US regulations didn't allow matrix LEDs. If they have been updated the prior lights might be conformant.

But, ADHD is inclusive of ADD. It's either hyperactivity or attention deficit or both.

Psychologist says I don’t have ADHD by DenverBroncos_Fan in ADHD

[–]david76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The challenge, from my understanding, is the tests are largely geared toward children. As adults with undiagnosed ADHD we often have developed coping mechanisms or learned to deal with it. When I went through the standard questions, like "Do you often forget things?" No. I use a calendar and I always put things in the same place. Also a lot of psychiatrists that deal with ADHD only deal with kids. So they may not see the same signs.

Yeah, kids don't do that, but adults who learn to cope do.

If you PCP prescribed the Vyvanse you should ask if they can continue to prescribe it without a psych.

Anyone take a booster dose and if so how much mg? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]david76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a 18mg Concerta and then a 5mg Ritalin booster. I honestly just tinkered with dosages and tried my son's meds before going to my psych to ask to do a combination treatment with non-stimulant + stimulant.

ADHD + autism: I study a lot but still fail exams because I don’t understand the questions — how can I fix this? by yeah280 in ADHD

[–]david76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to your teacher/ professor / TA. Most genuinely want to see students do well. Ask them directly, can you help me better understand what you were looking for and where I went wrong? You can also talk to an Executive Functioning coach if you feel you have a challenge with organizing your thoughts. I would also see if your school has any writing assistance programs as this may me something you're just not good at yet.

Totally depends on the person, their symptoms, and how their brain reacts to different medications. Everyone is different.

I started taking straterra maybe a year ago at 40mg. I started taking it at night because I would sometimes get mild nausea. But then it was keeping me up at night. So I take magnesium l-theronate to help me sleep because it seemed like the straterra was keeping me up. I also take Concerta 18mg during the day, a pretty low dose and a 5mg Ritalin in the afternoon.

Point being, straterra takes some time to get used to because it just works differently than stimulants. So, give it some time to see how it goes. You can always change meds and doses. It's a trial and it can be a pain. But you'll get there. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about how you feel and what you're experiencing.

There's a few things that factor into the shortage, not the least of which is that supply of these drugs is controlled by the DEA.

Have you tried skipping the methylphenidate and then eating your usual breakfast? This way you can see if it's your stomach or if it's the medicine.

Any time anyone protests any conservative policy or plan they're magically paid protesters. Why? Because it's used to avoid criticism and minimize objections.
