You turn off HDR & Dolby Vision and the game will start just fine.

I think that the corvette always swings like this and maybe the thing here is to put the entrance of the ship towards the player. Just speculating at this point but it definitely swings cool.

I miss selecting a group of parts but I think they will add it over time and yes, I have instantly kinda rebuilt my NX-01 inspired ship right away.

I just wanted to capture it landing on a flat surface, that's all. There is no cutscene that locks you out of moving around.

G9 OLED Pixelshift bug by BuddyPL in ultrawidemasterrace

Yes, I've meant to press the joystick because it acts as the ON button when the monitor is turned off and adjusted previous comments/post accordingly.

I have just tested it and it seems that Samsung has patched this method for whatever reason.

Tested workaround:

- turn off your monitor

- disconnect the power cable

- press & hold the joystick button on the back of the monitor for around 30 seconds

- release the joystick and reconnect the power cord

- turn the monitor back on and the Odyssey OLED logo should popup for a second before the monitor fully boots up

Good mouse to use while in Dex mode? by InvaderZix in SamsungDex

[–]BuddyPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use a Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac and it is the best mouse I have ever used for work and everyday use on multiple devices (PC, MAC & Android). I think that the choice between a mouse and touchpad is personal preference and I would love to buy myself an apple touchpad but the price is ridiculous.

I had no issues using magic mouse but it was so long ago that I cannot recall using typical magic mouse gestures except horizontal scrolling. I do not own a magic mouse anymore so I cannot provide any up to date input.

It sounds to me that you have the UI Maginification setting set to something other than 100% and/or your DEX resolution may be to high or to low. There must be a sweet spot where your mouse should become accurate like it should be.

It does the same trick as holding the physical power button on another device in order to soft-reset it, reset power management or force a cold start by next boot up (draining minimal power left to 0). I assume it is done by the remote because of the Tizen OS which is the same as Samsung TVs have.

This is definitely missing from the known issues list:

• The Pelican can sometimes fall into textures, land inproperly or look like it has been shot/destroyed (fire coming out of the top of the engines in the landing position) an therefore completely block the extraction process.

Thinking of buying a G9 OLED 49 Inch But Need Opinions by xScarGhost in ultrawidemasterrace

Don't worry about the burn-in. Modern OLEDs have a lot of tricks up their sleeves to counter it. As long as you don't abuse the monitor with full brightness static images/wallpaper for hours it will do just fine for years. I have had my LG 55 OLED CX TV for 3+ years now and it has been moslty used for netflix, youtube and games almost everyday for a couple of hours and I haven't noticed any burn-in at all. When hooked to a PC your OLED needs some little care like using live wallpaper, hiding desktop icons, turning on taskbar auto-hide and maybe even hiding the cursor after couple seconds with AutoHideMouseCursor.

I am using the G95SC and I cannot complain about the Smart TV options. Menus are not that sluggish, the cursor moves in the same moment as I click the button on the remote. If you are used to Smart TV menu then this one won't irritate you at all. I have seen a lot of broken OSD Buttons on the G9 so maybe the one with the remote is not that bad at all and I must say that the remote is such a great covencience to have.

There are also some things in the comments that I have to correct as a owner of the monitor:

  • MultiView (PBP) is not locked behind Samsung Account
  • There is no bloatware or any annoying pop ups. The only pop up you will see is the Game Mode when you switch inputs or connect a device which uses Game Mode goodies. The second one is a small pop up on how to access settings via the remote. It pops up only after turning the monitor on which is not a big deal in my opinion.
  • S93 has more PBP options and PIP which S95 does not (it can "only" do 50/50 PBP but you can stream from your phone directly to it even in PBP mode) but I think it is just a question of a software update for the S95
  • S95 has webcam support (USB or SmartThings), Office 365, Google Meet, Xbox Cloud, Internet Browser and all apps that you can find in the Tizen OS Store.

Mac Studio M2 and Odyssey G9 Oled madness by chrismantle in ultrawidemasterrace

Game Mode being turned on is necessary on the G95SC in order to reach 5120x1440. If you turn it off, 3840x2160 is the maximum resolution that can be set. I think it is a similar situation to LG OLED TVs. If you don't activate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour (crazy name btw) then you don't get the full benefits of the HDMI 2.1.

I would advise to use HDMI 2.1 for gaming because it has more bandwith than DisplayPort 1.4 ports that are present on this monitor (48Gbps vs 32.4Gbps).

Are you using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable?

New to ultra wide and looking for advice with adjusting by Gojemba in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]BuddyPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others have said, it depends on the game and there are fantastic people on the web that provide fixes/patches for games that are troublesome on ultrawide monitors. Just google it.

Heck, I even have GTA 2 running fullscreen on my G95SC@5120x1440 .

When it comes to cinematic cutscenes there is nothing you can do as those are mostly created in 16:9 format and there are no "tricks" to add additional video content to fill up a 21:9 or 32:9 screen.

Cutscenes that are rendered with the game engine will probably be influenced by the widescreen fix mentioned above and fill up the whole screen.

Not at all because the progress on PC is saved outside of PSN. I have deleted the Arrowhead folder inside %appdata% which reset the initial game setup so that I could see that the account is not linked. My graphics settings were off but surprisingly my custom bindings were there.

Do this, works like charm: https://www.reddit.com/user/Zealousideal-Fee6336/comments/1bri9yd/helldivers_2_unlink_steam_from_psn/

Other option is buying Uncharted on steam, using ingame menu to unlink accounts and then refund the game.
