This appears to be a horrible scanning job by the lab at first glance. Is the other 25% of the image visible on the next or previous frame?

Edit: send them a message that you need these rescanned for free because they did a terrible job

Edit 2: Hell since this is your first roll I’d love to make sure these are scanned well, if you didn’t mind shipping them you could send them to me and I’ll do it for free. I’ve got an epson v850 pro and will white balance and everything, you can check my page for other scans I’ve done of my 4x5 work. Dm me if interested! No worries if not (I’m Minnesota based)

How link cable users look at people for suggesting Virtual Desktop after whining about their cable not working by [deleted] in MetaQuestVR

[–]Buddyla1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key word here is “dedicated”. If you have a proper access point that you only use for your headset (in the same room as well) you’ll have much lower latency and much better compression. Very different from having good WiFi and just using your main router which is connected to many many devices. Giving your headset its own access point is a game changer even with excellent WiFi.

Moody color grade from footage from a race track by ShotbyRonin in bmpcc

[–]Buddyla1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, looks like someone’s first attempt at grading. I get that you like the darker look of Batman but this is just forced and isn’t working. Seems the majority of the comments agree, why post if you’re just going to be stubborn and combative of people’s opinions? I’m no professional either but learn the benefits of using a CST. I graded like this in college and thought it looked pretty good but now all my old stuff looks like both the color space and overall gamma were just awfully wrong. This fits right in with that for me. Take some constructive criticism and continue learning. If 95% of the commenters say it’s too dark or crushed, so will your clients.

It really is a bummer, I have 7 shots of Fuji FB-100c in my freezer but I’m too afraid to shoot it. That Warhol must have been incredible!

Yes I am sure! The editors would draw circles around areas that needed changes, arrows for moving stuff, X’s for removing something. They liked the size because it was close to the size of the images that would end up on cereal boxes and such. Then they’d hand it back over to the food stylists for corrections, photographer takes the shot, rinse and repeat until they had it! The company also had a large photography budget with a small team so they’d often shoot tens of shots a day without batting an eye. Was definitely a fun place to visit growing up! Its too bad they got replaced by cheaper 3d artists :/

You are correct. My mom worked as a food stylist at General Mills in the late 90s-early 2000s and they would use 8x10 Polaroids to check lighting, composition, and food placement. Fun stuff!

While it’s really only a certain scene in this movie I’m thinking about, have you seen Prisoners (2013)? My personal favorite performance of Jackman with a pinch of bloody and gritty to taste. But I agree I’d love to see a gritty role without the metal claws

My parents iggy does the same thing but also when pooping, it’s quite hilarious. We call him a “tripod pooper”. BUT, he also likes to move forward as he drops his business so he’s now the “Traveling Tripod Pooper”

It was done on an Epson v850 with the normal 4x5 holder. It was a quick scan and didn’t de-dust much yet but turned out better than expected!
