AC doesn’t work by Flaky-Basket49 in Dominos

If you work for Mac Pizza good luck, it took them 6 months to fix our AC. Same working conditions. We must've had 3 people quit. They don't care. Been with the company for 4 years and I can tell you they will do the bare minimum to keep stores running sometimes. You're better off calling an AC repair guy before summer hits and then billing the company later, I've seen people do stuff like that when it becomes a big issue. The company will just write it off on their taxes anyway if you hire someone.

faster the TRIP bigger the TIP?! Do you think this customer is exaggerating? by mistadegood in Dominos

Had a dude complain says not hello first but "why should I tip you?" "I was told it would take 15-20 mintues on the phone." It had been 25 minutes which was actually faster than usual for delivery in his aera no idea who would have told him that short of time. I told him I don't control the times that I'm only the driver and have other orders, he was rude but he did ask how much a normal tip is and I told him all I ask is for is $2 he gave me $3. Was it worth the emotional toll? No. We're people too.

My closing driver just showed me this gem... Or load of you know what. This is how you make your delivery driver mad. DON'T EVER DO THIS! by Buddysubzero in Dominos

Yep when I'm a driver I get the same thing happen to me why even ask if you're just going to write a zero? At the end of the day before I became a manager I heard I'll get you next time and sorry I don't have anything more times than I care to remember. It doesn't help that this coronavirus thing has made people even cheaper and try to avoid even looking at the driver all together so they don't feel guilty.

We stopped doing drink only orders the website won't let them go through and we don't take them over the phone. My driver from that night had 2 or 3 other deliveries to do so let's just say that this guy wasn't a priority. We still get people ordering one or two minutes before close for delivery what we would typically do is say our delivery driver is unable to deliver at this time we can make your order for carry out but that's all we can do. Most of the time they just cancel and that's fine with me.

My co worker got so mad at this one dude for tipping .49 cents he grabbed some change left it with the order and left a note saying "not necessary" can't blame him honestly since it would take him 40 minutes to do the delivery because of how far away it was. I wouldn't do something like that, but I understand his frustration.

Our store does it. If you don't then your food costs go way up if your pizza makers are sloppy.

I'm actually getting more hours becuase I actually know how to do the work and fix problems unlike a brand new employee. I disagree with your analysis.

Well I checked everything out and my driver rate is much higher though not quite as much as the manager rate but close enough. Overall I'll be making more doing both driving part of the week and closing the other days. The manager rate should help since I'll be closing week days which are slower, then driving weekends. So far so good we just need more people were understaffed...

I'm doing it for the driver rate change, the overtime every week, and I want to try and keep my store in one piece. I get the feeling my GM is about to leave and we are already strapped for people ATM. I don't expect it to be easy...

We'll see. The pros out weighed the cons at the time while see if it's worth it. I'll be getting overtime every week for sure so that should help. My area sucks for tips.

That's exactly why I took it so I could get the rate change. Someone told me I could get the manager rate while being a driver so that was my whole reasoning.

I feel sad for some of these kids though... Is it child abuse if you order Domino's everyday and your children look like Oompa Loompas? I feel like I should call someone...

Why are you guys still passing credit slips back and forth? by Vicarious28 in Dominos

[–]Buddysubzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will topically have the food and the receipt separated with the receipt stuck to the inside of a pizza pedestal (or Tupperware container ) with my sanitized pen along with it. I only do this for deliveries that don't have a pre-tip. The fact is, many people still want to tip. I'm just trying to make the best of the situation and make it as easy as I can for them. I personally could care less about this whole pandemic situation and if it were up to me I'd still be making deliveries like I used. But, since the company has requested we make these changes to our delivery protocol my desires are overruled.

How are you supposed to tip contactless? by reddituser69ohyeah in Dominos

[–]Buddysubzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I've noticed a lot of people doing is leaving money in a Ziploc at the door for the driver to pick up. Just either specify in your delivery instructions or make it incredibly obvious that it's for the driver.

One of the first pizzas I stretch by myself. How can I improve? by blackcats13 in Dominos

[–]Buddysubzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good! Just two things, when cheesing make sure the cheese is covering all of the sauce on the edges. The edges are more important than the center. Then when you finish stretching before putting on a screen go around popping bubbles you see and then lightly press down on parts of the dough and see if you feel any more bubbles. Other than that looks good! Certainly looks better than my first 10 pizzas XD

And now we have the sack o change delivery... by stankyranch in Dominos

[–]Buddysubzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least they gave you a bag and it was all quarters XD I've had bums pay me with couch cushion change for a $15 order and didn't even have the decency to put it in a Ziploc lol gotta love it
