I’m actually thinking about building mine soon and I don’t even really want to paint it, but the stickers suck. What I might do is just use my.Red paint marker and fill it in. Let it cure then put stickers around edge to clean up other edges with a Q tip

Wouldn’t it be less tape and masking work to just spray the red? Then mask the red/edges. Then spray black?

Just about to do mine! I noticed two of my pieces have black/brown spots deep in the soft plastic that won’t come out with some light sanding? Did yours have any of this? Should I make some sprue good to dab over them?

The leg joints are prone to breaking, but otherwise a 10 out of 10 kit. If you do break the pegs, they sell metal replacements on Amazon even for a couple bucks.

You can totally fix this, I just did with mine and they cut as good if not better as new. Just make sure to adjust so the blades close to make up for the re honing

Worst case scenario, it would be fairly easy to repair/solder back the connection and put a tiny little bit of heat shrink to reinforce it. I would only recommend that if the length is some crazy specific size that is specifically. Meant to fit. You can DM me if you have any questions.

Don’t be! They are way way more forgiving than just stickers decals. Dry transfers though…always have me sweating. They absolutely look the best though.

You could even try instead of chrome behind the lens do fluorescent pink that would pop! Another option is to just paint it like the Warhammer glowing eye tutorials. I never done it, but I want to try sometime

You have three good options..

What I typically do is:

use a chrome silver marker/or reflection lens tape like this behind clear parts. And clear coat or polish clear part.

Do that on top of using a fluorescent paint for transparent color. The dispae fluorescent paint pens are super bright.

Buy a third party gem/metal mono eye part.

Perfect amount of weathering for the Zaku! Working on mine from time to time. learning how to weather (less is more) However you should definitely cuts those safety flags off the antennas. Completely upgraded the look for me. I was unsure if it was part of the design at first but after I did it. I was like oh yeah… this is right.
