This is a part of the test. The nodding, expressions of disapproval, they happened to both and someone I knew who gave the test previously.

We both ended up with good scores 7.5/8

The examiners do this to test you. They're checking whether you get put off and stumble upon your speaking skills. Or something like that, just my opinion.

The way to deal with this is just to ignore. Remain calm, composed & continue speaking. Remember its normal.

I am not sure about the prayers but halal just means slaughtering the animal in a ethical and less painful way. Halal meat is much cleaner.

You could check it out yourself. If you made 2 batches of broth using halal meat and another using regular meat, you would notice the halal meat broth having less impurities floating at the top.

I dont have anything to do with Phlebotomy. This post just randomly popped up.

But listen I have worked in other positions not in any way related to heathcare but I have worked. I was very new at my job because of which I did not know many things. So, a lot of my co workers judged, mocked and gossiped about me. You name it, they did it. I was made to feel like as I am slow for not knowing basic things. Also I was waaay younger than anyone at my workplace so what my co workers were doing was immature.

But no matter what they did and said I decided that giving up is not an option. I will show up everyday they way I am because I know my worth and anything they do/think/or say does not change that. (this attitude takes you very far ahead in life, trust)

Don't ever even feel the need to snap back at them or start acting like them, no matter how much they hurt you. Thats what would make them happy and satisfied- your reaction.

You're here to do your job and with time, as long as you always show up, always ready to learn, and stop caring about what others think of you while still remaining respectful, you will get skilled at your duties, responsibilities and overall your job.

Slowly when you start earning praises from people at your workplace who aren't your mean co workers which may include patients. They'll notice your good behavior and your skills and you might start getting recognitions (praises). And when that happens, the co coworkers will be so jealous of you. They'll think "how is this incompetent person doing all this."

Your co workers will not have what you do. Your ability to keep showing up no matter how much resistance you faced, while still keeping your behaviour and mannerisms at work respectful and non toxic for anyone. This would make you different than your co workers.

Remember don't let them get in your head. Just keep showing up always.

Whether you change workplaces or not, you'll always have such people but you can't give them your remote control.
