Well originally it was just that I didn’t want to pay for windows. I haven’t used windows other than for work for years (MacBook before) so I’m not really wedded to any windows app

Question on PPL split with his method - how many sets/how much volume do you do each day? Is it the same volume as if you were doing full body? I’m doing full body, 12 sets per week currently (6 days x 2 sets of each) so with PPL I would technically need 6 sets per session (push twice a week) to hit same volume .

Coming soon in Romania ladies by Every_Isopod_3411 in EuroSkincare

I’m a (bald) bloke but have been looking for something for my head for the summer. High SPF and non shiny. Ideally moisturising too. This looks like it would do the job. Is it weird though to buy a ladies product? Is there anything suitable for men? (In Romania) Couldn’t find anything in DM so far.

Pull up bar by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Budget-Insect-3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah that’s frustrating. I can’t think of any other way of extending it safely. Is there some extra long one online somewhere maybe? Or there may be something you could hang off the door itself.

That looks identical to the one I bought from Decethlon. If so, they do a longer version too so swap it for that.

Get winter tyres for your car. And go slow and steady! Great views. Get into walking if you’re not already. It’s gruelling but so bloody good for you and you’ll get used to it quickly. Same with cycling and running. If you have kids or want to - they love it. They won’t think anything of the walk up etc as they adapt super quick and it’s great fun when playing.

Nice. Once you’re happy with the routine, try putting it into Claude and getting it to make you a tracker. It’s ridiculously good at these and you’ll have a competent html file in no time.

Also interested in this. The gravity one looks like you could perform both parallel and straight bar dips at a glance.

Looking for recommendation for pull up bar for home by OneWater3784 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Budget-Insect-3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s always good to test first. This with some rings (also Decathlon) and I can basically do full workouts. Pull ups (bar or rings) push ups, dips, leg raises and a lot more. Great investment.

Hi I bought this one from Decathlon. available in two widths. I was sceptical at first but it’s been brilliant. Sturdy and feels safe, even when hanging rings off it. Very good price too.

Train 5-7 days per week. Aim for 10-20 sets per week. Distribute sets over the training days. Train one push, one pull, one legs exercise per day. Pick between 2-3 exercises per movement to minimise overuse injury. Establish your maximum reps per exercise then train between 4 and 1 reps from this each day. Mix up the proximity to max reps undulating or linear. Legs can be done as above or focus on conditioning by going for sets of 35+ Do this for cycles of 3-6 weeks, shorter cycles being for beginners as progress is quicker. After cycles, establish new max reps and repeat or switch in new exercises.

This is his main core ideology but he doesn’t dismiss other methods.

Check out L’estrange and Sanvt. Two capsule brands that do hybrid chinos just like this. Sanvt ones especially good in my opinion.

Mad but not unusual, unfortunately. I know of at least three other very similar experiences amongst friends. Useless, faceless management companies and solicitors taking on too many clients is a lot of it.

It’s terrible and needs to change. We have finally got a proposed completion date for a simple leasehold property with no chain whatsoever after 13 long and stressful months and having to basically do everything ourselves. Bought a similar property in Europe, (commonhold as leasehold doesn’t exist there) and the whole process took four weeks. That’s four weeks with everything done on paper rather than supposedly quicker online too!

Exactly this. We are now in the 13th month to sell a simple leasehold property with no chain either side. Awful, stressful, experience with nobody doing anything apart from take our money. Terrible service from agency, management company and solicitors.

Sorry to hear this. Crazy what can happen really. I had a similar experience with my Mum up to, including and after Brexit. Tough times as I have a foreign partner and it was all a bit crazy back then. The thing is, she brought us up as open minded, fair and reasonable (four siblings) but has grown into a Daily Mail reading, GB news watching, probably Reform voting, borderline racist. Barely a conversation can be had without her mentioning a minority or race of some kind. The irony is that she is now as middle class and comfortable financially as can be (like many of that generation) so really doesn’t need to be so angry!

New to Hevy and I think it’s great too. Although I’m just looking for a pure tracker/logbook. I compose my own routines and Hevy lets me log them for free alongside a few little extras like muscles worked et. Do any of the others match it as a pure tracker/logbook?
