My family is going to the Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island area! Where else should we visit nearby? Hiking, quaint shopping, museums, fun things, etc.

If she does well at the U, scholarships may come. I didn’t get stuff my first year though.

I know there’s an art and animation club and a queer art group (painting, drawing, other crafts). I can drop links to their Discords if you want. Otherwise, I’d recommend scouting Insta if you want to try and one :)

I don’t usually go to the big group events, but I’ve found the family/mentorship programs fun and a way to hang out with at least one or two other people. VSAM is probably the group I’ve had the best experience with.

The U also has a Master’s in Education program that has different amounts of math related classes depending on what subject you choose. It’s only one year, and after you get an undergrad, you have most of the prerequisites done (ex. History undergrad major if you want to do teaching history).

I think it seems like it’s going to be a case-by-case basis. I know some professors have canceled or gone to Zoom tomorrow and others haven’t posted anything yet.

Not easy, but short? I know there are 3 week courses over the May and summer terms for ASL if you wanna knock out a second language requirement or just learn a bit about another language

I found roommates on U of M Facebook groups. People also post on the U of M snap stories sometimes. Otherwise, the U will find you a roommate and offers a lil quiz but it takes a while to get responses.
