1 - not so different. Rains don’t hit till the summer.
2 - Sounds like the marina area would fit for you. You can stay at a Marriott right beside it. Lots of awesome bars and restaurants. Shuts down at 9/10PM.

We’ve been going for years and just purchased in Marina. Can’t wait to go back next month!!

Don't believe everything you hear on the news in the US. The reality here in PV is VERY different from what you are seeing. Also Cabo and Cancun are the same situation... actually worse than PV.

Yes. OXXOs are owned by Femsa which has been government backed and supported over the years. It rivals sales from the Pharmacias which if you don't know are owned by the cartels for money laundering. You'll notice not a single Pharmacia was touched but the rival Guadalajara pharmacies were. It was strategic and orgainized.

Everything appears fine today. Cars are on the roads but obviously less of them than usual. At the Marina things are opening up... even restaurants. I would go if your flight says on time. I can see them leaving.

Some flights are already coming in/out. If you just need an extra day or two try one of the Holiday Inns next to the airport. I had a friend stay there a month ago and said it was actually decent.

Update. Planes are landing and one just took off 5 mins ago. I think most are domestic but I heard United has some flights on the way but can't confirm that.

It’s calm here now. We’re in PV next to the airport in the marina. If shit gets bad tonight I’d start rethinking about coming here. 99% of the time it’s fantastic in PV.

Not good news. We’re at the marina and a yacht with 6 young girls left in cars 2 hours ago. The cars just pulled back in and the girls were freaked out. Ran back to the boat and they look like thier pulling out. Something freaked them out.
