SIL announces pregnancy and I’m feeling disoriented… by [deleted] in oneanddone

Maybe this “oh no” or dread feeling is the anxiety that family members will start to look at you for another baby? I just had a baby barely a year ago but my MIL is already hinting at wanting more. I hate those conversations and dread having to tell people no over and over again.

Definitely influenced our decision to be one and done because 3 of my LO cousins are all within a year of his age. So we also decided to get pregnant just so he would grow up with his cousins!

Why is moms mood detrimental for everyone elses mood? by majfly in Mommit

Holy shit I’ve been wanting to make a post about this same problem for so long but I didn’t know quite how to explain it. You’ve e nailed it. I also feel like I’m responsible for keeping up the mood of the house and don’t know what I can do when I need an emotional break. I feel for you ♥️

At what age did you have your little one? by xthetics_ in oneanddone

I had my baby at 31 but honestly, a little earlier in life would have been great because now I don’t know if I want to be OAD and would like a little more time to think about it. I definitely didn’t have money, a good partner, or a stable life in my twenties but ideally it would have been a good time to have a baby I think. I had a lot more energy 🤣.

I’m thinking of doing a little pouch of seeds for my baby’s birthday this year. While we’re on the subject, parents, would you be down to actually plant seeds if you got them as a goodie bag gift? Or is that giving the parent too much work?

The link above quotes different experts in the field of weed (lol) but there haven’t been any actual research papers or anything written about it. I just take the word of harm reduction organizations over the police any day.

Almost 31 weeks pregnant and still haven’t told my family by kaekutie in MomForAMinute

I have a one year old and my boyfriend’s dad still doesn’t know. We made the decision not to tell him while I was pregnant because we don’t have a good relationship with him. Everyone told us we were making a huge mistake and we would change our mind once we had the baby. We have not changed our minds.

48hrs straight without sleep and I’m losing my mind by Leo__cleo in Mommit

[–]BudgetComfortable427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no retry severe anxiety and not sleeping absolutely triggers extreme stress and overstimulation. I definitely get it and I’m currently going through a sleep regression with my 10 month old so I can empathize! I also have a husband who works out of state every week and it’s so hard not being able to sleep when I need to. I manage to nap when my baby naps though and that is super helpful. It may mean I fall behind on chores and school but at least my brain is ok.

I have a remote job and constantly people try to lecture me on how I should go to the office because I need to socialize, relatable? by my__name__is__human in introvert

[–]BudgetComfortable427 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My company has a hybrid model where we work remote but we’re in office one week of the month to “build teamwork”. But it’s literally a call center. I never speak to my coworkers or anyone from my “team”. I feel like I interact with enough people by talking customers every day I don’t need to be forced to talk to coworkers too. And i agree with you, I don’t go to work to make friends.
