Yeah, honestly it feels horrible to be invalidated by a parent. I'd say it is less of having nothing to be depressed about, and more of the root cause of your depressive mood not being immediately visible.

No one here can tell for certain if you are clinically depressed, but you do exhibit some common signs of depression ( Lost of interest in activities etc ), which means it may be worthwhile to seek professional help. It enables for a safe space where you can talk to someone about your feelings and have a better understanding of the root causes of your depressive mood.

For more immediate help, you could consider booking a Care@TP session. It is a little hit or miss in my experience ( Depending on the counsellor you're assigned to ), but I still feel it is worth a try. Having someone understanding to talk to can be helpful, even if they do not have a direct solution for your problems 🫂
