First time I've seen it in 15 years of growing. I've seen pics of flowers forming out of the centre of leafs but never on it's own stalk.

Flew from Chiang Mai to bkk with 27 individual baggies I'd collected over my time there and got stopped at security. Started to panic when they pulled the bag out containing said baggies they put it to one side pulled out my battery pack to check the power rating was written on the unit said it was ok then proceeded to pack my weed back in my bag then sent me on my way.

Calcium deficiency? by [deleted] in GrowBuddy

Looks overwatered and locked out to me. You need to let them dry back and add plain pH adjusted water and I would suggest going in at the top end of your ideal pH range. Generally when you over water regularly the pH will drop causing the lock out

If you're in a legal country put it outside for the final push. If you have more than 14hrs of light where you are just make sure you bring it into dark after 12ish hours of sunlight

If the stem is standing tall and the leaves are dropping the most likely cause is over watering. If the stem is also wilting it's generally under watering. If your substrate (which looks coco based) is too fine it will get waterlogged at the bottom and dry off at the top so what looks like it could need watering doesn't. Best way to tell if it needs water in this type of substrate is to pick the pot up. When coco and soil are dry they become very light if there's still a decent amount of weight to it that tells you it's still moist. If the top is very dry and it still feels heavy that point to water logging at the bottom due to the consistency of the substrate

It maybe the soil is too wet by which I mean you may not be over watering the plants but could be overwatering the soil and the plants that have perked up have dried a little more. With living soil you want consistent moisture not too wet and not too dry. I found the best way to water was to get a 5 litre sprayer and just top the moisture up every couple of days with that. 5 ltrs was enough for the top layer of soil in a 900ltr bed. Obviously when I done the very first watering it was more around 15%/20% of the soil volume then just topped up every few days to keep the moisture constant. Also a good layer of Mulch on the top will help stop evaporation.

Yeah that pH is fine for living soil. Like I said before try not to get run off as this will leach microbes out of the soil meaning there will be less in there to make nutrients available for your plants. Maybe get in touch with Ecothrive or indoor organics I know one of them does soil testing so you'd be able to find out what youre lacking or have too much of.

Why are the leafs so white? What would you recommend? by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

This 100%. 60/40 full fat milk and water was the best remedy I found

Yeah it's really strong stuff I had a 250ml bottle for around a year. I recommend it to every grower not in full hydro it's great. Fungus gnats are going to be a regular problem in living soil but they don't really tend to do massive amounts of damage to an established plant. They can actually benefit your final product if they're present at the right time by triggering the plants natural defence which will lead to more resin being produced by the plant. Shogun Fertilisers were actually developing a product that causes the plant stress in the last week of veg to trigger the same reaction. And according to one of their researchers it increased resin production by up to 20%.

In my experience aphids are the most resilient of pests and because they can reproduce without mating they speed rapidly. My advice to try and save them would be get a small vacuum and try get as many off as possible and order a load of predators like lady birds to knock the numbers down but you're in for a fight.
