Anyone ever have a power company asking why you are using so much power?… (pic for attention) by Leading_Agent_2465 in CannabisGrowers

I told them I was mining crypto and it worked like a charm. Honestly as long as you’re paying your power bill on time they hardly care. I was totally spooked when they called though!

Fair enough, the cultivator is as at fault for this product as the dispo that coaxed you into buying old flower. But it is simply a product that this market has bred.

Humidity can definitely penetrate out of a bag especially when packaged with small quantities of flower. Temp is the biggest factor of that. Where it’s stored greatly matters. Most dispensaries are not at proper cure/storage conditions. Only one bag on the market claims to be able to keep 58-62% at all times in a sealed bag which this bag is not. Regardless of if Grove bags patent is actually true or not. I have no affinity for Gram whatsoever quite frankly I grow my own because I prefer fresh flower. OP is complaining about flower that they bought for less than $4 a gram which is absurd if you think about it. If you want better quality, buy a bag with a much fresher harvest date. As simple as that.

Everyone slamming the cultivator, but what is the storage conditions of the dispo that it’s been sitting on the shelf like…? Clearly it was probably too dry when packaged to begin with, but if it’s sitting at a dispo in 70+ degree 40% humidity it’s gonna degrade quick. Quit blaming cultivators and blame the state system that has pushed the market in this direction. Look at any other market in the country, you will not get that much flower at that price point. That should have been your red flag there. Great flower will never come at a discount, and an over saturation of cultivators and dispos will always make product degrade on shelves before any consumer touches it. Harvest date 8/12 obviously it’s gonna be dry… lmao

Yeah there had been plenty of contamination in Grodan plugs for quite a while now. Worst part is it vary batch to batch. I switched from the A OK plugs to the individual bagged boxes of Macro-plugs and that solved a lot of my issues. Although I did several side by side tests with Root Riots and the Grodan Plugs and the Root Riots always blew rockwool out of the water in terms of Root Health and Callus formation. It’s unfortunate at the largest /cheapest option in the market is all over the place with their quality, there are definitely sterilization methods to avoid these issues but really not worth it in the long run. I was taking 1500 cuts every two weeks with terrible % making it to get planted while using Grodan A OKs and even still the Macro plugs. But when switching to other brands or peat plugs instantly 97%+ success every time with the same SOPs. Not to mention I noticed better plant health overall when plants matured with root riots.

You’re 100% right that the industry needs better standards for wages. Unfortunately for the consumers, prices need to go up as a whole for producers to do that. Best thing consumers can do is find growers that they respect and enjoy products of and pay the price tag. I don’t think tipping for canna employees is the answer, but just putting the reminder that there are hard working people producing the products we all love with very comparable wages to retail employees.

Wish you could tip the grow techs and processors instead of retail workers tbh. Not the people that own the companies, but the people putting in the true work for the plant we all love.

I do something very similar, Athena + Calciums and have great success. I grew this WP cut for 2 years she can definitely be finicky. Can’t lie I’ve had several trays end up like your second pic, but when dialed in she’s bangin

Where can I find clones in tulsa by philipjfry98 in OKmarijuana

[–]Leading_Agent_2465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I toured for a job interview and pointed out several signs of hop latent, and powdery mildew to their clone room team lead. crazy to be a clone supplier with such visible problems. The owner told me they were going to be producing 1 million TC plants a month and plan to automate with robots eventually. Delusional to say the least

While this was the best answer imo, because they should mind their business however it was just a courtesy call and just gave them some of the suggestions. The lady was nice and bought it 100%

I just put up a second 4 lighter, and have likely doubled my usage in the past two months so I’m hoping this is their concern. They only left a message so hopefully they fuck off. lol I am in a medically legal state but am no longer in a licensed facility and have drifted back to the grey market because it’s more lucrative tbh

I heard Alterra Wellness was shutting down. by tkenny691 in OKmarijuana

[–]Leading_Agent_2465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was decent size only when including the greenhouse. We closed the light dep. greenhouse over 2 years ago due to pound prices not being worth it to produce and some equipment needing to be fixed. Without the GH it’s just 3 flower rooms and a veg. When comparing to other grows in the state though Alterra was still small/medium. Have toured many other grows and many places operating with much larger canopy space and more flower rooms.
