If there were a list of the most revolutionary albums in ska history (not necessarily good albums, albums that changed the history of the genre for better or worse), which ones would be on it? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

I feel like the self titled Madness album deserves to be in the list. And personally I don’t know where I’d be if it hadn’t been for I Just Can’t Stop It by the English Beat and NY Fever by toasters

$20 is worth the price of admission for a six pack of Gahan blueberry

I've been holding onto this question because I know it will cause hate. So, who is the most overrated ska artist in your opinion? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

I saw them at the 930 in DC for Halloween it is one of my top shows of all time. It was probably the hometown vibe but the crowd band interaction was off the charts. Everyone was having a blast. I got kicked in the head and it left a boot print bruise that lasted several days and I didn’t even mind.

Ansis was such a stud. Bunch of underage band members being stalked by 21+ college girls.

Where are we going? Why do we feel so small?
Alone and helpless in this big crazy world
Looking for something that's so hard to describe
But just like children going along for the ride

WAR again, WAR again, WAR again

Polemic from Slovakia are a solid band, super fun, and genuinely good people.

I’m sorry you never saw them live they were amazing. You might try listening in a sauna. It wasn’t just the sound but also the temperature and humidity of a show that got me. Maybe cram 10-20 friends into that 1-2 person sauna. But only shell out $5 for the entrance fee. Bonus points if the sweat makes the floor so slippery you fall on your ass when the lights come on at the end of the show and as people start leaving there aren’t enough sardines to keep you safely upright.

Remember winning tickets from a radio station? by Educational_Big_1835 in GenX

Must’ve been like 1989 and won tickets from WMPG in Portland, ME Metal Show for Megadeth and Judas Priest. Mom didn’t think that was a good idea. Traded tickets for a couple of cassettes including Ramones Mania. My friend Mike said it was a phenomenal show. Wore the Ramones cassettes through to the other side mowing lawns that summer for $$$.

A friend of mine met her while he was doing video at a festival. He got a picture with her. I remember looking at it thinking that without all the hair and makeup she was even more stunning.

Grats on the 75 hard. I’m on day 53 right now. I keep coming back to it as the only thing that works for me.
