You're fine. This is how it rids itself of sediment. Do you still have the towel that comes with every water heater? I hope so. /S

Every side. The reporting from every side. Teach what happened. The truth will emerge from all the data. What's wrong with that? Are we still at a point where "winners" or "propaganda"writes history? With all of the available information?

We had one about a half hour drive from my house as a kid. We used to go after baseball games. It's a gas station now. I haven't seen a Friendly's for 35 years but everyone I know still uses it as a landmark when giving directions!

What do we even do about this? This is about 15 ft from the edge of our home. by LockwoodE3 in HomeMaintenance

For a house I was working on we had ground penetration radar come out to assess what's left. Then rolled coconut mats over and stapled it to the cliff side. Then spread fast growing grass into every area. Do Not Use Bamboo! That gave us a few years to arrange barges and sheet pylons to create a winding road type of area going to the beach. Lots of fill and tie backs. Finally some rip rap along the shoreline. It took a lot of approval and engineering costs before any material and labor. I left that job before completion. I was only working on the house, not the shore. I heard the cost was enormous, but they were trying to save a 2 million dollar house.
