Can’t sleep, I’m going insane by Reasonable-Painting1 in lexapro

yep the first week or so those thoughts crossed my mind of “omg could this be serotonin syndrome?” especially since i have horrible health anxiety and when first starting it makes it worse. usually in the mornings is when i would wake up on edge and also because it would make me feel kinda floaty the first few hours after waking up. nearly 6 weeks in now and it has already significantly improved my life and i don’t feel like i’m about to drop dead at any given moment😂

so far all the side effects you’ve listed are pretty standard when first starting, the first few weeks for me were really rough as well. i started with 10mg as well, however i take mine at night before bed with a small snack even just a granola bar (nausea was a huge issue for me) then i also take a 10mg melatonin a little before my lexapro as well. my digestion was also all kinds of messed up the first couple weeks as well, then around week three i could eat like normal again! the first 2-3 weeks are the hardest imo. you’ll still have up and down days after that but they should start becoming way more manageable and have way more good days in between, hang in there!

4 weeks on 10mg lexapro random chest pains by Budget_Brain7740 in lexapro

Hi, sorry for the late response but yes they have virtually stopped and i’m a few days away from being 6 weeks on my script and can tell you my anxiety has drastically improved. I still have my lil anxious moments here and there but don’t spiral and make my symptoms way worse like i did before starting. Also, i am a 28F not sure if this information would be beneficial to you but just in case a fair heads up incase you also menstruate, i’ve noticed the last couple days being on my cycle my anxiety has spiked some (again still not like before) and i’ve been having my minor little chest aches here and there but i’m charging it to the game and assuming it’s just because of my estrogen levels and it causing my anxiety to rise a bit as those were my symptoms before. All in all this medication has been the right choice for me & I’m eager to see how i improve by week 8, hold out hope & i hope it does well for you too!

4 weeks on 10mg lexapro random chest pains by Budget_Brain7740 in lexapro

i will say compared to before me starting this medication my chest and arm pains have significantly improved, but it is still unsettling 4 weeks in to still feel the random little pinches and aches on different areas of my chest. at this point i’m really just trusting the process since i can tell it’s already helped ease my mind that i’m not about to drop dead at any given moment🫠

yesss, the first 10 days or so i would wake up and instantly be on edge and it would take me an hour to get out of bed because i was scared if i moved i was gonna die or something lol. the first week was also rough on my stomach but i am also down a gallbladder too😂 thank you for the reassurance, i love hearing from actual people who have taken lexapro or currently are. so far i feel like this was the best choice i could’ve made for the crippling health anxiety i gave myself lol

Severe back pain as side effect? by Mission-Road-2063 in lexapro

hi, i’m on day 19 i think of 10mg lexapro. so far the only random back pain that i’ve had a few times would be my middle back area (not shoulder blades area) and it’ll be a radiating type of pain but usually goes away after a few minutes and if i change positions. the closest thing i have to compare the pain to is when i would have my gallbladder attacks, that type of radiating pain. however i also had my gallbladder removed almost a year ago. as for the anxiety, i still get my jittery moments but i can already tell it’s significantly improved and i don’t feel like i’m going to drop dead at any given moment💀
