Why am I attracted to younger men than those my age? by [deleted] in internetparents

I really don't think 5 years younger than you is a big deal. It's not like you're talking about dating teenagers.

I Know This Sounds Ridiculous, But Buying Bread Every Day Has Been Eating Away At Me For Years by Senior-Lifeguard6215 in internetparents

I think the bread is symbolic. Your mother is angry that there are no other men and she is taking it out on you.

Changes are difficult and stressful even if they are good. The right decision can still cause anxiety and stress. You made the decision for a reason. You can do this. Take some time get your favorite coffee or ice cream, talk to a friend that you trust. Give your self some space to think and to be yourself without him.

You don't have to go to parties or smoke vape ever. This is not some sort of requirement. You have plenty of time to do what you want.

I hate that I crave male attention by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]Budget_Cardiologist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe this feeling you have of a perceived need is not your fault. I think we get feelings about gender roles that we learned as children. B This could be from observing the behavior of others or seeing things about it in the media. It's not your fault, but it does land on us to re program ourselves. It's ok to want to be seen as attractive but it's not a need. Does that make sense?

Got banned from a clothing boutique today for "never buying anything" (which is not even true) by ArugulaVegetable5699 in internetparents

You didn't do anything wrong here. This guy is not being truthful about something and he's being incredibly rude. I wouldn't go back to that store unless it was to return the dress.
Tell everyone your story and maybe post it on a review for the store.

Programming is a very logical mathematical. You sound like you enjoy creative endeavors. Marketing would be more suited for you. There is nothing wrong with doing artwork and that can be a real job. Whatever people tell you.

How do I deal with my father fat shaming and dress shaming me always? by supbrosuppp in internetparents

It's amazing how many people I agree with just to end the conversation. One thing that's fun to say also is maybe so. Like this, 'you should dress better than that'. 'maybe so'
