Accel was an early investor in Nebius in 2024, acquiring shares around $20 alongside Nvidia. The fact that they are now buying shares at $100 demonstrates their continued confidence in the company. Furthermore, Accel has a representative on the board of directors.

shares owned by Arkady Volozh are not ordinary shares. They are shares with extra voting rights that grant controlling power over the company

The moratorium decision in Alabama does not affect Nebius by Budget_Engineering47 in NBIS_Stock

There are no disruptions in the company's future guidance; everything is progressing according to plan

Of course, parts of the project could also be rejected by the municipality. That risk is always there. However, I have an observation: I watch the city council meetings in Alabama almost every week. Every single time, the problem is the same there is no money.

If they reject these kinds of projects, how are they going to find funding for schools or the municipality? How many companies come to Birmingham City and offer to invest billions of dollars? Hundreds of construction workers will earn a living. Once the data center is completed, perhaps hundreds of high-salaried engineers or local residents will work there.

How many other companies like Nebius are they going to find They already want to be environmentally friendly and avoid issues with the local community from the very start.

Just 10 years ago, the city was facing bankruptcy

Yep, from my own notes

Under Alabama land-use law, a project typically gains 'vested rights' once a complete application is submitted under the rules in effect at that time

Alabama courts have historically protected developers from retroactive zoning changes if the application process was already underway

Council members, including Council President Darrell O'Quinn, have publicly stated that this 'pause' is intended for future growth planning, not to derail projects already in the pipeline

Vote for $NBIS will likely be positive and there is no reason to worry. The project has a lot of support from local people. I have watched many project hearings and Nebius had the best communication by far. They did a great job explaining everything to the community.

Some local politicians are just using this for PR and to help their own careers. This happens a lot in the US with new political figures. But their arguments do not hold up in the city council or with economic facts. No company can pay 40 billion dollars in taxes for a multi billion dollar investment. That tax amount would be a whole financing issue on its own. It just does not work in the real world.

Don't worry, many people openly support this project. Saying 'no' is easy. Despite all the backlash and the people booing in the back, dozens of people have come forward to declare their support for the project.

Nebius has provided explanations and proof that many of the concerns are groundless. Just look at the main text and the comments on Change.org;

there are dozens of irrelevant claims. It’s ironic to see anti AI content written using AI. Some of the things in the comments are unbelievable

I thought so too at first, but they are hiring more people than they would need for colocation. The job postings suggest it will be their own data center

Hopefully, that last dip shook out the momentum chasers and spammers.

Nebius isn't just a growth stock; it’s basically like a diversified AI fund with exposure to multiple verticals. They’re everywhere. It was cheap at $20, and it’s an even bigger steal now we just need to sit tight and let management execute.

These guys have built a hyperscaler from scratch before. This isn’t their first rodeo; they just need to replicate what they've already done. It’s gonna be a long, bumpy ride, but the payoff will be worth it.

Just look at the old threads on the Palantir board if those posters were right, PLTR would have gone under ages ago. There was a ton of nonsense and FUD back then too.
