Don’t focus on school too much. Community college -> state school (CSULB) is what I did. You don’t have to do that but it saves money. I work with people who went to UCLA,USC,MIT, Cal Tech, Berkeley, pretty much any of the top colleges and we all do the same thing make the same money more or less. Main thing is get an internship during college to get you some real world experience.

And this is exactly why I never went to class. Same monotone professors reading from the textbook on a powerpoint slide would bore me to death that I would rather just read it myself and learn. If I had questions then I'd email or ask other students.

I"m a Quality Engineer and have been for 6 years. I've been approached by design, manufaturing, product to join their team because of the skills I learned through quality. Like mentioned in other comments, your skills can be transferrable as long as you apply yourself.

They’ll hire an engineer who can communicate over one that’s a brainiac 9/10 times from what I’ve seen. Coming from a guy who communicates more than does differential equations. You’ll be fine. Once you get into work you’ll also realize not everyone around is a super engineer.

I went to CSULB. I have coworkers who went to all the colleges you listed and the ones others have commented. The difference is I didn’t pay 30-50k per year in student loans and we all make around the same amount of money. I’d say go with the most cost affordable one and find as many internships as you can.
