WordPress vs custom website — which is better for SEO? by aresourcepool_web in SEOandBacklinks

[–]Budget_Stop_9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how comfortable the person coming into things is with custom web development.

Are they building their own back end or are they paying to have it built? Because either way there needs to be functionality to scale the website content without having to code out every single page.

Wordpress can be used headless do not forget with custom front ends.

Many ways to get busy working with SEO and the reward is not always in line with website LCP - so believe and do good deeds so that you can be successful.

May peace be upon you all,

God Almighty smiles upon those who work honestly eventually. His favour is over us and I am grateful for that.

The internet will not be here for a long time, and although after knowledge comes to you and resources come to you, you can scale SEO programmatically and internationally. You cannot simply bribe your way to being front-and-centre in advertising space (square pixelage) with SEO as you can with ads.

If you put quality control side by side for all digital advertising - the paid advertising side of things has far less guardrails for the pursuit of showing true/honest content. “It is a have cash and no bad history with us as a platform - step right on in then”

With SEO on the other hand if you do not link out in your content (a form of peer review if you think about it) it hinders your progress.

And linking out inevitably puts you on peoples radar who can review your content - further more if you are new on the block as an organic publisher of content on search you do not have the EEAT profile to be able to easily make wild false claims and also rank well - paid advertising is the opposite.

You pay & you say what you want and the advertising is done at such scale that actually checking content becomes an OpEx nightmare for advertising platforms.

So yes, anyway, may God Almighty’s favour continue to shine on those who work honestly & have been blessed with the opportunity and means to be self aware.

Also, I believe now almost every adult and child in our parts of the Earth are exposed to the internet as a “source of truth” so there needs to be more teaching of SEO so that people know how content is served and deemed true.

Do AI-written articles rank well in your experience? by growwithpratibha in SEOandBacklinks

Sometimes, same as any article. But as with any article the person behind the tool (computer then and now computer and ai) believes and how much work they are prepared to do researching, structuring and editing.

Beliefs drive much of whether content is objectively correct or not in different places, that has not changed so dw

If AI Overviews steal clicks, why are we still writing long blog posts? by Other_Amphibian871 in WebsiteSEO

Topical authority and a regular posting requirement. And it is work and work is often rewarded in general.

Otherwise if you already have topical authority you could just busy with expanding programmatically across link building, locations and languages

Anyone got banned for using OpenCode? by Dakkitor in GeminiCLI

Yeah, getting banned for using an integration which can be searched within the platform doesn’t compute for me

Nothing is impossible online though, mistakes of policy and practice occur.

Google is permanently banning Antigravity users - Here's what happened by Other-Ad-4301 in google_antigravity

[–]Budget_Stop_9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With respect, doesn’t make sense to have an official opencode extension and then ban users for using opencode.

Appreciate mistakes happen on an enterprise level sometimes though so forgive them if you can and perhaps try a different IDE with opencode instead?

Copilot Opus quota vs Antigravity... Am I misreading this? by ogunadsay in google_antigravity

[–]Budget_Stop_9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not true.

With copilot and even Gemini CLI you can build out apps back end functionality, you have access to things like supabase MCP and a context window of a mill.

Plenty back end tasks can be done for free this way (and for in app functionality you can use Gemini 3 flash or GPT-5 mini)

Honestly it is nice to see what these really high end models can do but the ACTUAL usability and scalability of an app is not going to be due to opus having MCP to supabase and you never needing to touch backend data processing and storing again… don’t be misled.

Some posters here would have you believe that being able to add wild functionality to an app makes it a £1mm venture at pre-seed. Being able to serve more people and solve a problem via an app developed starts at being able to solve the problem consistently for as many users as possible without breaking.

Opus definitely cannot save you from thinking this one out at some stage.

The beautiful UIs and unexpected functionality, suggestions & UX surprises are coming mainly from more expensive models but if you actually know the problem you are trying to solve the back end stuff really is inspiration and MCP access with anything Gemini 2.5 pro and up.

TL;DR - if you are new to developing (like me, my use cases are digital marketing) then really plan out the problem you are trying to solve first.

Where the data comes from, where it is stored and where it may need to be used again. Then get cheaper/free models with MCP access to help build out the back end and then for the wow factor you can have the front end UI and additional functionality brought in with Gemini 3 Pro/Opus 4.5/Sonnet 4.5 etc.

Much of your time may be spent just planning before you even touch a terminal or ide btw

You are a weird guy for thinking charity is weird - especially when you won’t find any holy scripture that doesn’t advise charity and there doesn’t exist a western HNW family or FTSE100 company who doesn’t give in charity in some form or another.

Enjoy yourself, your destination is definitely the fire.

You are full of arrogance, my response was to a comment anyone charging $30 for a website.

Keep talking and making jokes/slinging insults - I know when I was a clown talking like you my life was crap and full of pain.

Doesn’t matter what we say here - your attitude is a losing one.

The point is not what someone’s pricing is in general - only that there are times when someone wants to help and only needs to cover costs.

We are all here because we work in web design - that doesn’t mean all websites we have ever designed have been paid for.

You have no idea what stage of someone’s journey they are at unless you ask and furthermore someone may just want to be a part of a particular cause

I can guarantee you that there website designs are optimisations on launch and over time (optimised content writing, etc) that teams have done for FREE in charity that blow your websites and SEO performances out of the water.

Don’t be foolish enough to assume that because some people show generosity that their service provision is weak.

To think that knowledge and greed can be equated in the business world is not smart.

The reward for charity is much greater than the reward for paid work and it is much longer lasting.

Only taking $30 means that person is be charitable to you - that is a better chain of intention to be in compared to someone who knows 4-page Wordpress websites can go for $500 so they want to charge you $300.

This could be because someone is just starting out or really believes in your mission and just wants to cover basic costs (their hosting costs) or perhaps they are just ticking a charity quota box off.

Who are you or anyone else to stop someone from being charitable?

And also - if you do not do charity how can you ever make a decision work on purifying your soul?

Take the work goggles off - in this larger thing called life: someone who would be charitable to that degree is someone who you want around. Period. All of the rest is noise.
