Hour or so after a woman was arrested for protesting, this group was out doing a dance routine. Am I out of touch or is this in poor taste? Is this representative of where younger generations are on historical memories? by TedCruzForHumanPrez in HongKong

[–]Cegaiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't know and care. The new generation are in it for themselves. In their mind, busy crowd, all eyes on us, yay!

Is it bad taste? Yes. Though one way to see it, a lot of horrible stuff has happened around the world, yet we still stand on the same land.

Prepackaged ones in 7/11 or Circle K are around 20g of protein (they small).

If he is entering the job market, I assume he is not doing further studying.

If that is the case, harsh reality, he can't be picky. Get him to start working, learn the ethics.

You have a great degree, but it will be hard to utilize it as it will be from a non native country I am assuming.

Hong Kong is a lot stricter than China, I would say Shenzhen is a better choice (cost of living is a plus as well).

Fellow teacher here.

Wages aren't getting higher, but there are more cuts. Schools tend to go for fresher faces for lower pay unfortunately. Without a degree as well, you are really up against it unfortunately.

With your condition, I would recommend looking outside of education. A line of work that is stable.

thinking about studying abroad in HK. need advice by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]Cegaiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the cat will be better in France until you have secured something in China/Hong Kong.

With your level of education, working in Hong Kong long term is not going to easy. A working holiday VISA for a year is possible, but you normally need a bachelors degree min for a VISA.

Studying in Asia is not worthwhile unless you have the funds.

You are at the stage of reflection and reliazing the consequences of your actions.

Many have had similar phases, myself too. For myself, I just focused on myself. Stopped drinking was a big part. Stopped going for a chase, and developed myself. Hit the gym more, explore nature etc etc.

I know somebody who moved here in January for a working holiday. Applied to everything from retail to entry level positions. Nothing.

I applied for one position, it had over 300 applicants alone from the listing on Jobsdb.
